I had no idea what this film was about really before watching it. What a little gem. I am a musician and really enjoyed it, great music, great story, and great acting. I didn't recognise any of the actors/actresses, but they all put in a great performance. A great heart warming story. And it will make you laugh, and get emotional in places as well.
Great soundtrack too 😊
The late great Luke Perry is his mentor.

It starts off slow with you wondering what this move will become, but it's an excellent movie and very well done. It's short but hits everything it needs with no fluff. Definitely worth the watch.
One of the best films I have never heard of; engrossing, inspiring and awkwardly realistic. Certainly got that one right; dead nuts right!

I accidentally came into this video but watched all the way to the end. The story was well predictable without any surprise, maybe one could call it lame, but it was a whole different, music focused movie without any nasty commercial, unnecessary scenes, from other major teenager movies. I love how so many music videos were put into the movie. This is how a music focused, zero to hero movies should look like.

You don't often get a film that you cant stop watching. He's never going to be a rock star is he? He's going to hide all his life, sad about the loss of his son, isn't he? No and No and they are not, it builds up slowly, and the end is perfect. Ok you admit it, you did shed a tear.
We are all hiding we are all rock stars we are all fans we are all afraid. But sometimes we get tired of hiding ... We get tired of being afraid. Because the worst fear is being too afraid to step out on the stage of my life.
Wow, it's really a great movie. I really liked the songs that were written for this movie. It was a great movie. It gave me positive energy to keep playing the guitar.

To be honest, I don't see this movie as a comedy movie, just more a drama movie about how life can be sometimes for people. This is a very good movie, and I like it a lot ❤️👌

Excellent movie--- I like it allot! It forced me to recall, and reminisce my awkward teen years. I could relate to the story plot. It was a moving narrative.
This is one movie we can all relate with because we all been through the same things in life. Once you overcome your fears everything becomes a little easier I love this movie this movie is by far the best one I've seen in a long time very well done.

Wow! This movie is so deep! Really hits you on many levels. Excellent music and acting. I'm a musician and been in a band for over 20yrs and I have felt every insecurity and the highs and lows depicted in this movie and can tell you that the performances by all were "SPOT ON". Loved the "Girl In The Wardrobe" sequence! So much imagination involved! I was in tears when he gave Tom his sons owl!

Last week I discovered METALHEAD - a film about an Icelandic 12 yr old whom finds her dying older metal loving brother after an agricultural accident - takes over his guitar and does the whole early 90s Norwegian Black Metal thing . It’s extremely good. This week I find this equally engaging movie . NEITHER required Explosions or millions to make. Thankyou for putting this out for us to enjoy 😁❤️🏴👍

There was just something sweet about Verity Pinter's character. My favorite moment of the movie was when she sneaked onto the stage for Tom's song to give him that last Helpful Push.

I had no idea what this was about, but as it progressed, it seemed to improve in the quality of acting , and reality of the story. It does grab you, and you begin to hope, hope, that things will go well. A good ending, you feel yourself thanking their angels for granting their hidden wishes! I like this movie because it makes me feel like I should rise on my feet and show the world what am made of, instead of keeping silent on my talent. Am shy too but have learnt a lesson that my fear, my parents and my friends who make me feel like I can't do it should NOT be my excuse.
