My Merrowfins Basic Silicone Tail Review

You asked for it and now its finally here! Its been a little over a year since receiving my basic silicone tail by Merrowfins. So here is my review as well as answering some of the questions you asked on instagram about my Mermaid Journey with this silicone tail.

I just got my tail. Does yours hava fabric inside the foot pockets too?

Yes, the fabric is supposed to protect the foot pockets during shipping so if you just pull it will come out. Don't be afraid to tug hard.

To get the tail on is a little difficult but not too difficult. It takes some practice, as the tail is made to your exact body measurements and there is no zipper, so it's just a matter of kind of wiggling your way in there. When I first got my tail it took me almost 30 mins to get it on now with practice it only takes about 5-10 mins.

Did you have a problem getting your feet into the tail? I'm having issues.

At first yes. If there is still fabric in the foot pockets go ahead and pull those out. The silicone foot pockets will stick to dry skin and make it tricky to get in so you need something to make yourself more slippery. Some people use lubricant, I use hair conditioner.

Compared to just your human legs yes. Compared to just a monofin without a silicone tail over it, no.
