  • Today we welcomed, Gordon to the mix! We also staged all of the boulders in the largest planting bed. After that, the team brought plants from the clients back garden to the front so we could begin planting. I am very excited about this installation.     Haha when you mentioned that you are almost at 100,000 subs and that the subscribers are "Doing (their) job", my mind instantly associated it with "If the succulent stands up you're doing your job" as you always say. I guess that's kind of what subscribing is like. Standing up, being present and supporting the design process.

    The driftwood now resembles a fish from the camera angle; serendipity! This installation is quickly becoming a favorite! Ooo-la-la those rocks rock!

    The vase is so beautiful and was the first thing that my eye went too in the beginning of the video…..then you planted the vase and it melded into the reef as a
    “Part” of the rather than a stand alone. Love the driftwood on its side, once again blending rather than standing out. Also love the owners planter garden…such talent and love of succulents.

    Those rocks are beautiful. I think I will go ahead and buy the skull rocks, black and red lava rocks, and white silica sand I saw in Marketplace and make a small seascape/coral reef out of a discarded wooden drawer. Thanks for the inspiration, Laura. I can't wait for the grand reveal.

    This is so exciting. I can't wait for the finished product. You inspired me to try boulders and slope this year and I used the lava rocks as well. AND YES, they are heavier than expected.

    I just stopped for morning tea break - perfectly timed - there was your video! I love the rock at the front shaped like a small grotto - it looks amazing in this installation! What are the brown marks on some of the cacti?

      Some settling will occur over time, but with our severely limited rainfall, no worries really.
