It is so true. I am a mother and wife. I hear side comments on how I take care of myself. Though they will never give me a compliment to my face 😒. That is shady but it's ok. I enjoy looking good and having my family look good and well rounded, physically, emotionally, spiritually. It's ok to strive to be great!
I needed this! New mother, new body and feeling like at my age I want to feel better in my clothes and I want to make better decisions on the quality and choices I spend my money on.
I am absolutely on a reinvention journey I just turned 50 a couple days ago and I really started rethinking my style and the way I want to present myself a few months ago and I started off getting basic pieces just like you were saying and I'm doing very well I still have some things that I need to incorporate but I know I'm definitely on the right track and I am loving it I . At 50 I really am entering into the best chapters of my life

I just love the real truths that you bring out and share with your audience. Many of us tend to hold out on why we don’t wear certain outfits. I know some think wow, you must to be the Boss to wear that! And I tend to not wear my clothes because of those types of comments! I am not tacky or showy my task is neat and doesn’t offend. I love my clothes and want to wear them

All points are on point on point and you are so correct planning your outfit a day ahead especially if your time is limited first thing in the morning if you have an event if you were told months ago you have are invited start planning from day one have at least 2-3 options 😉 as you may not be feeling that one outfit on that day you also have to take into account the weather as well planning planning I start creating outfits in my head but yes Pinterest is brilliant if you need a refresh and add that something that would bring new life to that outfit that gives you that glow as you step out because you know you are rocking it and it's not just the clothes accessories play there part.
For a long time I did not like wearing gold jewelry I am 51 now and I can't get enough gold jewelry even if its costume jewelry but tastful and would compliment practically everything I choose to wear its good to change refresh reinvent.
You may know your ascetic already or how to put outfits together but I have learnt these last few years to step out of my comfort zone as at the end of the day the only person I need to please is me you can't take it when you are gone you can't wear it when you are gone enjoy it now and rock it love this episode it has be most enjoyable to watch stay blessed always 😊 🙏🏼

I love your comments on this. I was lost and frumpy in a a bad marriage for many years, thyroid issues, i finally got my dr to listen that i needed help medically. 35 pounds loss is the last 4 years, i go to the gym regularly, i walk regularly when its nice. Life is very short, we are not guaranteed anything, i lost my parents at 66 and 71. I love fashion now, i wear wigs because i have alopecia, i dress every day now at 54 to feel good. I dont want to disappear anymore. Lift each other up ladies. Confidence and self care is imperative.

This video is speaking to me! I have also decluttered my wardrobe. If I purchase a new piece I must give one away. Also, if I don't love it, donate it. I donate to Amvets and they pick up your items from your house. I've decided to up my game even more, for example wearing sequins just because. It doesn't have to be a party or anything to dress nice. Lastly, I usually wear sew ins, but would like to start wearing braids, etc. I'm basically keeping the same style, but stepping my game up.

Glad I found your channel last evening! I definitely need to redefine, decluttering, and rebuild my capsule wardrobe. And sort through accessories. And then there’s the skin care and makeup essentials. I really needed that last wrap up of why we need to change things up once in a while. And all the different reasons. We are going through different stages of life, and sometimes that does demand updating our wardrobe. We all need to figure out what works best for us individually. I am also 63 and refreshing my style. I wear vintage and upcycled clothing. For me look at the colours and main fashion themes of the year . I select things from my wardrobe and make a group of clothes to be the focus for the next month. If it is the wrong size and in good condition i put it away in a suitcase to allow for future size fluctuations.

Great video. I was just thinking about this. My job is pretty casual. When I first started, I dressed every day then I fell into the real casual look and I'm so missing my heels and really dressing like I have somewhere to go. So, I'm turning 52 in a couple of weeks and it's time to reinvent myself. I do love the street chic look but I'm also a classically modern type of dresser if that is even a thing. I love your style and absolutely love color despite what some may say, I don't care, color makes me feel happy when I'm feeling down and you feel better when you look good and put together!!! Oh by the way most importantly I love the way you actually present the items you purchased and link the stores and if the item has sold out or don't have your size you also give links to similar items if we do choose. I don't know of anyone else that does this!! Especially if they are wearing multiple items, they may tell you were to get a couple things but girl you go all out and I so respect that!!! For thoosFor those with limited income you may want to look into the resell options which will give you some kind of income to invest in getting any items you may need to fill in some areas in your closet or help with the rent. That is on my to do list for the coming year is planning my what I will be wearing for the week down to the jewelry because I found myself not even throwing on earrings because I am thinking I am just going to the store, but I hear my grandma and mom say in my head you should never leave the house without lipstick and putting on earrings. So there no reinventing for me it is getting over the laziness of not going into the office every day and realizing I can actually be dressed like I am ready to go out somewhere just by making the effort to play dress up and enjoy all the things that a special occasion may never come. I don't think a person should have one look because it gets boring, and that saying life is a stage you should have the wardrobe to be ready for your next performance. Video was just reaffirming for me because everything I wrote you basically covered later. I ask my son to order my stuff on Amazon. lol! I had people make comments about what I wore since high school but the only time I felt uncomfortable is when someone else was making me wear something I did not want to basically my mom and later my husband, but my friends (sometime my adult kids mostly my daughter) try it and I am like okay (I am 60 but I a ride a bicycle, mow the lawn, rake the leaves, shovel the snow and dance like no one watching) I will never dress to be my grandmother nor my mom. I have not worked out in a gym for 4 years (body building) now but I am setting up something to do at home because I have gain weight and need to get the muscle back pumping. I rebuke (teehee!) the idea of cleaning out my wardrobe but more going thru it and getting it organized and refamiliarize myself with what I have. I am ready to have fun with it. Overall, some good pointer and very well-organized video. I see your effort paying off keep up the good work. Thanks for sharing and blessings to you and all in the days to come.
