So what's the function of that MODE button in the middle?
Mine must be partially operational. I can recharge nimh and li-ion batteries just fine (one or two at a time). But it definitely will not show how much charge is in a battery if I inserted it; nor will it recharge a phone with an output cable. The latter trying with a new alkaline battery (which I am well aware are not rechargeable, but I was curious about its ability to charge a phone with non-rechargeable batteries), and then two fully charged li-ion batteries. I am guessing I have to have a rechargeable battery that outputs at least 1.48 volts DC (as stated on the back of the unit) for this to work?
Last week my Lii-100 came in, a just as great single charger as I only got 2 18650 batteries. So I use one in my Blitzwolf BW-T1 flashlight and charge the other.

YES. that is a great way to use this charger.
Are you sure that when 1A mode Is on with 2 batteries in, each of them get ONLY 0,5A? They should receive 1A both...
I am as sure as one can be when the information is written in the manual. I do not have a electronics education so I have to rely on what the manufacturer said, I don't have the equipment to test that senario.

Yes, it can charge ANY ICR, IMR,or IFR I18650 lithium battery, that is to say, ANY 18650 battery currently or previously made. I cannot comment about 18650 batteries of the future though.

Stop trying, you don't want to burn your house down when a battery explodes or catches on fire! The charger is only for lithium ion batteries, not for NiMH.

I am pleased to tell you that I bought one after this review and I've been using it now for a several months and I am still very impressed with its features. Everything works as intended...must be a record of some sort for budget electronics. Thanks again for sharing the info about this charger Jake.

That is an interesting question. I did not try that. And since I gave the charger to my son I don't have it here to test it. Sorry, I can't answer that question. My guess is that it is quite likely to work, but you would need another USB cable, but that isn't a big deal for most people because most of us have several of those USB cables around the house. IF it does work it would probably charge both VERY slowly.

Thanks for your feedback. I didn't have that issue in my tests but my tests with NiMH were not extensive. I mostly tested with lithium ion.

Sorry about that. I gave the charger to a family member so I no longer have it. The way I used it was to simply put the battery in and wait for the charge lights to show that it was charged. That is the way I used it.
