These private buses are the life line of coastal Karnataka fast reliable and efficient. Excellent management of schedules reduces waiting time drastically. The longest waiting time between 2 departures from Mangalore to other places may not be more than 10 minutes. Coastal Karnataka is one of the few places in India where tourists can go around without having to hire taxis as these buses are very dependable. But unfortunately this efficient service does not have an equally efficient parallel amenities for travelling public at the bus stand . Things are the same as they were when this bus stand was inaugurated
Mangalore people use thier energy in communal issues not for developmental issues. Mysore tumkur Hassan Hubli shivamogga cities are far better in infrastructure comparing Mangalore.
Development is definitely possible if our leaders are determined to get things done to their respective constituencies .. One example - Mysore ex MP ..
Without communal issues Mangalore politicians don't survive. They knows people vote for them without any development works. Really people of Mangalore don't need development. They don't even know meaning of SMART CITY.
Wow, this reminds me of Majestic bus stand in Bangalore with not much infrastructure in place hopefully this will be developed I have never been to this bus stand for me state bank stop was the state bank itself and this was an extension of Nehru maidan and many of my class mates used to play cricket here Need to ask, how was the food in the canteen? That is amazing the price and is this subsided by the local government? Thanks for sharing, enjoyed watching this
Around 25 yrs ago this Bus stand came into existence as the Authorities thought Hampankatta Bus stand was insufficient for accommodating the growing traffic congestion. At that time it was thought as a temporary arrangement! But it continued till today as temporary only … That’s the reason it is not evolved yet.. But in 2022 with ₹4cr budget it gained a big facelift.. & continues I didn’t taste the food.. It must be tasty, subsidised by the Govt. Thanks for sharing your experience 🙏
@@seeingisbelieving1016 No problem, I just wondered about the food and its taste, I know the man who is buying it says something, but I like the idea of giving subsidised food for people which is very much like a communist idea and you do find this in Calcutta or W Bengal a lot. When I was in uni, we used to visit Navneeth near Besant college, and we used to spend 2 rupees for a masala dosa and coffee and it was almost 4 rupees for chapati and some veg gravy, so chapati was expensive back then hence my curiosity.
Unknown place in Mangalore? Mmmm hahaha It is a small city but it has changed a lot and I know the roads but I won’t be able to recognise anything due to the new buildings and flats that have come up
It's second biggest city after bangalore , It'swell connected by all the 3 means of logistics. In some ways already beat bangalore ( ex commercial tax collection) city's controlled population is like Japan
If you ask the concerned authorities they will tell the project is completed. As usual we Indians believe in chaos, creating a mess and than conduct a post mortem
Nice video 🎉
Thanks David 🙌
