Not at all. A convicted person charged under federal or state criminal laws can apply to the president or governor of a state to pardon them under our laws. The president or governor can exercise his prerogative of mercy in favour of a convicted person. Offering his legal service to bobrisky is perfectly fine. Convicted people in Nigeria go through a very hard time. Most convicted people are not even aware they can apply for pardon.
