For example, DNS Resolver could be at your Home router or at Internet provider. However what about the root server (Where it resides?)
As someone just starting to learn about DNS, I feel like something I'm missing is a definition for a "DNS Record". That's the only thing that these videos seem to assume we know, so I was wondering if you had another video on that? Or would you be able to link me to a straight-up definition of DNS records? Great series!
If multiple DNS query calls impact the application's performance, why can't we have just the root server pointing to the Authoritative server, which could hold all the requested records? Is distributing the load across servers the sole reason for having multiple hops?
