Tony is so chill about his baggage, I bet he keeps ice packs inside it in case he wants to be extra chill.
Well I liked this review. Thank you Tony for giving a thorough rundown on this compact but expensive bag.
"You don't wanna bleed on your clients" - GOLD! :-D
Sometime ago I watched a video that you made comparing printing labs, you recommended (by showing side by side photos) WHCC and I want to thank you, today I received a large print from them and it exceeded my expectations, I’m super happy with the results. Thank you for all the help and advice you give the photographic community.
a nikon body with a canon lens.. tony.. look at sdp.io/mounts to see why it doesnt fit together
No, the 70-200 is Canon, but at 2:27 you can see a Sony lens cap on another lens.
3:34 My favorite thing about this channel is all the little tid-bits of helpful info tony and chelsea throw into every video. Thanks Tony, ill try not to bleed on any of my clients in future.
Thanks Tony for all of your and Chelsea's videos they are some of the best on UA-cam. In July I was in Europe for 12 days and I was very excited to use my Airport Roller Derby. I Love my Roller Derby but I have a few complaints which I understand nothing in life is perfect. My handle when it was fully retracted sometimes it would go down while I was Rolling the bag, that was very annoying. Also when the bag is full it's kind of hard To bury your hand In there and try to pull the handle out, It's very tight. My Mac book Pro 15 inch laptop fit perfectly into my Roller Derby. Just everyone be warned that sometimes this bag will not fit into some overheads of some planes. I knew this before traveling to Europe and I brought with me my Ona Leather Brixton just in case I ran onto a plane that would not allow me to take my Roller Derby. Sure enough an airline employee stopped me before I was going onto a plane and she said this must be checked, my wife and I almost panicked but thank god for the Ona Leather Brixton, I was quickly able to put my 15 inch MacBook Pro, My Canon 5D Mark III, my Canon 70-200 F2.8, my small Wacum Tablet, my Canon 85mm F1.2 my Canon 24-70 F2.8 Mark II and my Canon 14mm F2.8 into the Brixton. None of the lenses had their hoods attached, I put those in the Roller Derby and they were fine. I also left my speedlite, Canon 600 EX-RT in the Roller Derby and it was just fine as well. I don't think I heard you mention anything about the wheels of the Roller Derby, Which I found to be absolutely fantastic, They rolled extremely smooth through the airports. The bag also rolled very well on the plane if you turn it sideways. A lot of people I noticed were looking at my bag from time to time because I'm thinking they were trying to guess what it was.
Nice, quick and helpful. No silly music track either. I wish all accessories reviews were this tight (I don't mean work flow stuff - more is better there.)
Thanks, Tony.
Just got a Logistics manager 30! Amazing bags.
I have this bag. It's perfect for travel
Great bag.
If you want a cheaper option I've found the costco suitcase and made a divider system for it to be excellent and its lasted a few years.
Hi Tony, you may want to rethink the locking cable item. Whenever I travel I use something called a Pac Safe that's basically a stainless steel net that you wrap around the pack and lock it to something in your hotel room (I've always used the toilet). It's a good way to protect your gear when you are not around such as dinner, breakfast, etc. Good luck with the P4 drone :)
Hi Dalibor, I am using the padlock that came with the mesh bag. It might not stop a very determined their but it appears to be one of the types that a very hard to pick.
Ah, a Nikon EN-EL15 charger for a D5. You almost had me that it was what you actually packed. LOL
Love the Zagreb style chess set by the way. By far my favorite to play with.
The bag looks nice too haha
Nikon D5 body with Canon 70-200 lens?
I thought that was a bit strange. Must have been one of many bags for the trip.
I mentioned in the video that I just crammed the D5 body in there to illustrate that the pro body could fit in the bag.
TT makes 'pro' gear. It's not for the weekend warrior. The stitching and materials are a couple steps up from the looks-good-lasts-4-months stuff. Have had the urban disguise 60 for 3 years and it's still going strong in everyday use. You'll see a lot of sports guys on the sidelines wearing their harnesses and straps. If you can afford it, it's thoughtfully made and lasts a long time. If you need to go cheap, I'd get the Pelican 1510.
The cable/lock is for storing things in low threat areas -- storing the gear you can't take in closets/offices in stadiums, churches, etc for sports and wedding photographers, etc. Keeps honest people honest.
Tony has the same line laptop as me, that's convenient if I want to know if mine fits.
pretty cool bag though. Minus the price of course!! But i guess if that is what you do, travel with a camera, then it would be worth it!!
Are people still using this bag? I wish they would update this bag and make it lighter but still have 4 wheels.
It's expensive but it's hard to put a price on securing your gear from damage.. a $400 investment is a small price to pay when you've got 10 to 12 grand in gear to move around and protect, especially if you travel for a living.
Do you have a link for those cord replacement dongles you mentioned? I can't find them.
if it doesn't have top access to the camera, I'll skip it and get a rolling messenger bag, and use something like this as a second bag for more gear. last thing I want is to lay it down and then access the camera.
I don´t think it´s designed thinking on fast easy access... just a well padded carry on bag to take as much gear as you can without having to check it in
You're right. I have a Tarmac large messenger style bag, that has wheels, with 2 straps that lock the flap over to secure things. I'm looking for a bag, like this one reviewed, and I don't might the shape, but with top access, it becomes more than something to store the gear, but becomes a usable bag to take with you. And in the time of need, you don't have to stop and lay it down and open the entire thing to access the camera. Wishful thinking, you can call it. I do love the tarmac I have, but wish the flap had easier locking clasps.
Good call on that combination lock, they can be picked in few seconds. Just cut it out and save weight. If you want good lock for that bag check out Abus or Abloy padlocks, stay away from Master Lock and American (now owned by Master)
Sometimes I surprise myself with amount of useless information stored in my head :)
Hey guys what about review of new iPhone camera when it's out?
that one he is going to have to buy first, anyway he's your typical Samsung guy LOL let's hope he doesn't go up in flames
the 7 edge of Samsung is slightly more expensive than the iPhone 7....
"Less malicious business practices"?
You need to study up on the real history of these two companies and not buy into the usual baloney you see on the internet.
tbh the internet is almost 20 years old already and by this time we should all be used to people stating as fact something they read on a meme.. hahaha
hi, can you do review for RED camera?
How would this compare to the Think Tank Airport international v2?
wow, a positive review! ahha just kidding :D I really like your bashing reviews, makes me confident that you are speaking honestly. Based on your videos, I got tamrons 70-200mm 2.8 VC and I love that lens. Thanks!
That plug is not in the links?
which computer is better for photography? mac or pc
please review the toshiba transferjet wifi sd cards
Tony, I noticed a scar on your knee. Did you have surgery at some point?
It's weird I got the AC plug (2:53) right out of the box with my purchase of D750, but I didn't get the cable.
Please send me link for this ac connector at 2.46. Or what is it called.
How did you enjoy Ireland?
Sorry but can you move that bloody candle back against the wall please? It's really screwing with my OCD.
what do i search in amazon for the 2 pin connector?
Which model is that tripod? Thanks
Hello,
I have one question. I am undecided about which camera should i buy. I am considering Nikon D5300 or Canon 700D. I want to picture landscape and nature mostly but i can not decide. Can u help me, or give me a suggestion for some another model ? tnx
I'm a Canon user and do a lot of landscape and astrophotography but if you're about to start investing in camera gear, I'd recommend going Nikon now. Their sensors are the best for landscape and lowlight and Canon hasn't been innovating lately. Their latest 5DM4 is still way behind in dynamic range compared to Nikon's 2 year old D810 or the Sony A7RII.
I don't think $400 is expensive if you are carrying at $6500 camera and $2200 lens.
Hah, cut out the lock thats meant to keep people from cutting it and taking your luggage.
but how is that toshiba?
you dont wanna bleed on your clients.. haha
So when are u going to do a proper review of the Fuji X-T2 AS I write just watched a video on the X-T2 its faster AF than the D500yet people still don't believe this.so how's about an unbiased review this timethe last time u done a review without even having the camera and u were so NEGATIVE Tom G
Hi, great review!
That little adapter that you showed for the battery charger, where I can find it? I hate cables too. ;)
Found it. www.amazon.com/SF-Cable-Adapter-60320-C7-receptacle/dp/B004OGXY72/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1473347191&sr=8-1&keywords=camera+battery+charger+plug
Love your huawei watch, but this bag really is nothing special....its not as good looking as those RIMOWA cases...and the price is not attractive too, i really love your channel, but i think what i want to say is as a photography channel, if you going to review some none-photography gear(the fact that u can put camera in it does not make it a photography gear), it needs to be reaaaaaaaaaaaaally special, sorry Tony just don't love this video.
Think Tank is a camera bag company...... Their website is literally THINKTANKPHOTO.com
