Agreed. I love that Miguel designed his build to allow space for 4 friends / Element family members to gather at meet-ups, and it's always a full house! 😊
Extremely enjoyable van tour. Miguel is so creative and has such a great lifestyle! That car is truly a camper in every way. A pleasure meeting you, Miguel. You did a fine job. I learned a lot about the Element. Thank you for the great tour, so nice of you! Happy travels!
what wireless mic do you use and do you recommend them? I'm trying to figure out what will work for my channel, appreciate any advice you can give, thanks Danny
This is probably the best Element micro-camper build I've seen on your channel, Miguel's, and others....love the simplicity of Miguel's "Tomato" Element. Thanks for sharing! - from an 18yr owner of a 2005 Element EX (silver/blue). Best vehicle I've ever owned, and Honda ever produced, period!
This is an awesome build man! But please nobody plug Counter Productive. That guy designs cool stuff but took a bunch of paid “preorders” for a rear hatch ladder he was designing and ghosted everyone. This was almost a year and a half ago. Really disappointed in that guy.
Wow I did not know any of this. I would love to hear from the owner of counter productive I may reach out and see whats going on. Thanks for the intel.
You and me both @@StephenAldaco I stood up for him initially in the comments on his page and gave him the benefit of the doubt. He finally got on and said there were some family issues or something and that he got a new job. He released a really sweet doorstep too, started selling that, and then just ghosted everyone again... is what it is, but I'm pretty annoyed by the radio silence for so long but more bummed the ladder won't ever happen and hes become unresponsive again.
What a lovely man and very talented. I don’t have an element, but it makes me want to get one just watching what he’s done . congratulations on a beautiful job well done.. Stay safe.
Awesome build! Thanks for sharing. Miguel has done a great job outfitting his rig. I love the pop-top and the swivel seats; gives it a VW Westfalia vibe.
Wow, amazing build. You can see the passion Miguel has for his Element. Great dude. Im searching for a $10k used car and researching Element’s. Maybe my search has ended here, hehe.
This is such a well thought out build! Great work, and I'm sure there's a million other clever little details in the build that there wasn't time for. The way he excitedly shows the personal touches of the build is like every time someone asks about my camper. This feels like such an OEM+ build too with the '08 parts on the front end! The lights all don't stick out too much from the ditch lights to the auxiliary lights in the grill. Such a treat!
There were so many things I cut out because I didn’t want to make the video so super long. Miguel’s enthusiasm really shines through Thank you for watching my dude.
Thanks for sharing, what an awesome build! PPF might be a good idea to protect the hood, have many owners added this? It would probably be an easy and inexpensive diy project to add the film, and you could also change the hood color if desired.
@StephenAldaco yes, I've seen UA-cam demos of DIY film for Teslas, Stephen, and I think a flat hood like the Element would be easy to wrap. It could provide some additional off-road protection
@@wille3573 I saw an incredible truck build. The dude made slide out drawers that had fold down legs to become a full on outdoor kitchen! Of course his bed was above the drawers. Also can put a pop up tent on top and it would be epic! Then can build out the bottom part to be a couch on each side for chillin’ with the homies. I’ve also seen some homemade canopies using conduit and rubber tubing as the hinge elbow if you prefer outdoor living room setup. You can setup all the way around camper and have a full on outdoor house. With kitchen on one side bathroom on the other and living room in center.
That’s totally cool thanks for watching! I would love to cover more builds that weren’t elements. I’m just not as well connected yet to those communities.
Now, if only Honda would take a hint from the mod community and re-introduce the Element with some of these amazing camping-related factory mods. And make it a hybrid or electric.
Watching these videos really make me miss my 2003 element. I had it for 15 years and it still looked brand new. Unfortunately I had a winter accident and it totaled it. Best all around vehicle EVER!! I wish they’d start producing them again 😢
I’ve seen him do custom swivels for other vans I’m sure it’s possible. I would contact Austin directly at Hiros hot rods & find out. Make sure to say Stephen sent ya 👍
sweet so in the 2 honda builds ive seen thus far swivel seats are in common.. im' glad others are doing this and enjoying.. life has gotten too expensive for me which is why im thinking of doing this only thing im worried about is being 6ft tall if i can sleep in here comfortably. great stuff!! hope to meet some element owners some day much Love from Florida!
There are a few options. I’m not sure why but I’ve never used laid down the seats as a platform. My wife and I sleep on air mattress a few times while traveling to Spartan races, with. 09 seats pushed all the way forward, the lunch box pulled out and the back fully closed. We’ve also got a factory tent that we’ve used a number of times, and with those you have the additional length of the tailgate to stretch out on. There are other models of tents that would give you that flexibility too. I’m 5’11”. Happy camping!
Fellow Element owner here. You definitely have a cool build, but those swivel mounts are sketchy. I would not recommend that anyone replace such an important safety feature with a product that isn't tested and where the manufacturer states that it's for "Off-Highway Use Only". If you or a passenger gets injured or ejected during an accident good luck with your insurance.
Are there any aftermarket seats for 2011 Element that fold more forward for the drivers side? My bed setup is behind the drivers seat. But the seat only slides forward. I'd like one that can fold more lean more toward the steering wheel for a little extra foot room when in bed mode.
@StephenAldaco thank you. Your videos are so helpful. I'll need to watch this one a couple more times. Actually, I mostly listened to this video and wasn't actively watching. Now I see the 1 panel. Sorry about that.
Love these. Honda should have made a right hand drive version. Would have sold so well here in Australia. Looks kind of like a reliable new Land Rover Defender which is a great thing. Land Rover styles big with Honda reliability. Win, win!!

Miguel's simplistic setup is something to strive for!!

100% Miguel has it down!
That is such a rad build! Everything is well laid out and functional. Excellente!
Si! I really like hanging out in Miguel’s Element his layout is very chill & cozy.
The mods are seamlessly integrated into the basic design. It looks like a factory limited edition or maybe a custom dealership option. Nicely done
Very thoughtful and cozy build. Both seem like amazing, kind men.

Love watching you two! Miguel your rig is the inspiration behind us making to decision to find an element. Thank you for your content
Thank you for watching us 🙏
I got rid of my element six years ago. Started having a few little problems not nothing big but I do miss it.
Wow this is very convincing. Wished it was a hybrid but still convincing and extremely well thought out.
I love the setup, Miguel, it’s clean and efficient. You didn’t mention about the bed and kitchen box, did you build that yourself?
If I remember correctly he had a local man build his platform here in OC.
I have to say, Miguel has always been an inspiration on building out my E. Hopefully i can get to his level.
I feel the same anytime I am around him and his E!

Not a bad idea at all! I know some people have wrapped their hoods but I have not seen anyone do PPF.

This video is one of the reasons that I have decided to get an Element. I was looking at the larger vans. I pick up my 2008 4wd this weekend!
Congrats
I have to agree with your opinion of the Sunset Orange Pearl color. It was the best Honda offered.
Yay I see our Elements on the Runway sticker 😁

That is sick! I'll trade my Frontier for that Element😁
I mean…do it
