- Thanks for stopping by. In celebration of The Crusade album having its anniversary this week. I had wanted to merge these two songs together and cover them back to back for years. I actually these songs recorded and filmed in early September and I've been super excited about finally putting them out.

I think its mostly just the vestiges of the negative attitude given to the band when this album released
Yeah it is a very good album but your going to get people who are like it sounds to much like metallica or some dumb crap. This album has so many awesome Riffs.
The absence of hardcore vocals.
When they put out a sure hit like Ascendancy then go in a completely different style the next album that early in their career it’s bound to alienate a few people. I personally like Crusade more for its thrashy parts but it’s definitely a strange album for them.
@@rudolfschenker yeah its not heavy as their previous album.they could do the same but they wanted do some different stuff.
Whenever i have trouble learning a part i always come to these videos, it helps with visualization. Not only is the sound quality amazing but theres no crazy angles and I can see everything! Also the playing is just perfect! Thankyou.

For fans of Ember and Ascendency, I think the reason The Crusade sits so sourly is because it was such a jarring change in style and sound, it really felt like a very deliberate “We’re Metallica/Iron Maiden now”. I mean the magazine covers and articles came pouring out pointing right to that idea, so it’s no surprise that the following albums seem much more genuine to their sound and style when that faded away
