    You’re ZR2 videos are so addicting. I just bought a white 2020 last month and couldn’t be happier with it. When I’m not shredding in it I’m watching you do it. Thanks for the awesome content.

    This video is awesome hahaha. I would put a 2x4 on the jack to get more surface area on the tire maybe.

      Yea definitely wanted to include that. Mentioned a board. Under the hitch mount or running boards is ideal also. But didn’t want anyone slipping there truck off a jack stand or something lol.

      I've never seen it done like that, so it was very cool to see. On the tire machine, it puts pressure as close to the bead as possible to break it. I think that helps a lot. Your jack was trying to push the whole sidewall of the tire, if you had a board to focus the pressure a little better it would probably go easier. I can't wait to see the video of your apparatus

      Oh yea. A bottle jack or scissor jack. Lol that’s why I say those are better. Actually if I didn’t have the handles on my jack to wrap the straps around their would be nothing keeping the tire from slipping off the jack. Actually hope I never have to use the method again lol. The debeading tool we got is awesome. Still labor, but much better and at 50bucks per wheel for beadlock service. It pays for itself in 6 tire changes

    Remove valve stem, then engine vacuum hose to valve stem. Kerpop

    I never knew hybrid wheels existed where you could run them as a bead lock or as a normal wheel. Very cool!

      @420motors  3 роки тому

      Yea. Also accommodate a rock guard for crawling. I guess technically street legal in some states.

    I will say this the Crestones are DOT approved dont know how they get around it but they are approved by the DOT for anyone who wants to know

    • @420motors
      @420motors  2 роки тому

      Are they hybrids. If they can be mounted either way they do get dot approval in every state I believe. But if you mount then beadlock Then they are not in some states. Again I don’t know if they offer hybrids or not but that loophole does exist for other variants.

    Good video. You can also use another vehicle if one is with you. Just drive up on the tire while turning the wheel around the bead until it breaks the bead.

      Oh yea. Probably the best method. Might take some wheel damage against rocks on the ground. Sometimes getting back on trail is more important. Definitely the most efficient method though.

    Pry bars on my Innnov8 wheels? (if I really had a set..ha..ha) that would make me cry...even in front of my friends....you know...the guys hanging around giving you a hard time while you roll around in the dirt trying to break the bead.Nice video, haven't seen the one using a jack (see us old guys can still learn new tricks) I think while using the jack if one of the beer drinking guys would stand on the wheel to keep it from pulling up while jacking would help break the bead. Thanks!

      @420motors  3 роки тому

      Oh totally. Some even stuff them under the vehicle and have a second vehicle drive over them to break the bead. Used the aev wheels just in case cause agreed definitely not about to mark up the Innov8 wheels if I can avoid. But still can be done without damage. Just damn why take that risk lol.

    You are wrong about Beadlocks not being DOT approved, there are some manufacturers who have DOT approved headlock wheels.

    • @420motors
      @420motors  3 роки тому +1

      Not certain if that’s true. The aev wheels and rrw wheels are street legal and can be mounted normal or beadlocks. That doesn’t mean that in beadlock form they are dot approved. Also not certain what each state does but I’m sure manufacturers have that figured out. Bottom line any standard tire shop you go to won’t mount them for you. Regardless off a claim that they are dot approved. Bead locks are beadlocks and they won’t want the liability. So your probably right since I would look for that loophole as a manufacturer as well. But that doesn’t mean the statement is wrong that you won’t get service because beadlocks are not dot approved

    • @TheDieselndust
      @TheDieselndust 3 роки тому +1

      420 motors go to the AEV website, those AEV wheels are DOT approved.

    • @420motors
      @420motors  3 роки тому +1

      Yea cause they can be mounted standard. Take those to get mounted as beadlocks and you will find that tire shops won’t care. They will refuse to take the liability of beadlocks. Didn’t speak of maintenance on this video cause got a broader one coming up. But no shop will guarantee any work that needs that much maintenance. If the owner fails to check torque on bolts and has a failure on the highway, they want nothing to do with that action. Rrw wheels are similar to aev wheels. I can get them mounted standard at wall mart if I like. But not mounted as beadlocks. So yea. They are dot approved but they aren’t the only ones. Do more research and you will see, all that advertise beadlock dot wheels are hybrids and still include the disclaimer that mounted as beadlocks is for offroad use. Here is an example. www.dirtylifewheels.com/dualtek again you are correct verbatim, but that does little good to a customer trying to get beadlocks mounted. They will be refused service.

      420 motors , yeah ok. We will just have to agree to disagree on this one. I realize you live in Commiefornia, where everything fun and cool is either taxed or it is illegal! Nice Chucks BTW! (I own over 60 pairs).

    • @420motors
      @420motors  3 роки тому +3

      Lmao. Hell yea man. And naw we agree your correct. Wish I could have worded that better just for the extra consumer tip. Just making sure someone didn’t try to mount beadlocks without the knowledge that service for them will be tricky. Maybe I shouldn’t have made the statement as absolute as I did, not just for accuracy but to help sell the shown sets also. Legal loop hole of hybrids are a selling point and wish I would have mentioned it. That being said. Someone buying them might still have to watch the video one day when they are stuck with no service lol
