Petu's self-hype and joking yet somewhat serious demeanor when talking about value analysis and what plays are and aren't cost effective is the entire reason I am subscribed. I don't even play shen but the gigabrain technology rubbed off onto my Illaoi strategies.

Petu's comments early sum up super well my experience with Shen, especially post-durability update. Feels like it basically goes like this:
"Shen has a strong earlygame."
"Okay, so do I win x matchup early?"
"...nah, not that strong."
If I'm playing a ninja that's built like a Ford F150, I kind of want to hit harder than a wet noodle instead of being a glorified Soraka ult given a lane.
Your Shen is, quite literally, built different. I've never seen Trinity and Hullbreaker on Shen.

@@jasiuo6794 eh I wouldnt call that "so strong" . Its just enough to keep him at 49% winrate and above . The power that other toplaners have highly surpasses the impact that Shen has on the map and as an support
I feel your pain. I started playing shen because the sword mechanic was fun to maintain during fights. Now Riot doesn't want us to fight and to rather play ADC babysitter, so boring.

1:00 they also nerfed the Q. I have been spamming under Riot tweets/videos that they should revert Q nerfs or take power budget from his R and give it to his Q. Perhaps you can somehow get through with a comment/tweet? Like I don't even care about his winrate. I just wish he was fun to play again.
How shen can be a split pusher with zerom tower dmg and zero wave clear all other can do both without specific items to help
i appreciate petu for pushing shen to the limits but after the q nerf everything went downhill for me, i want shen buff but the community says otherwise...
He needs a power shift, from R to Q back again. I mean they buffed R a lot and they ended up nerfing Q in exchange. I don't know who wanted that.

with the new item system (2021) the sunfire nerf (no longer mythic) (2022) the removing activable tytanic hydra (2021) and the durabilty patch they litteraly killed is potential 1v1 early game laning phase with Shen you can still win some 1v1 but its much harder than before now you have to play under your tower with TP and play full support no longer damage dealer early game than before like you said back in the days Shen can One Tap level 1 i miss this damages on Shen
