- I ordered young Quail from a hatchery in AZ. They were delayed in transit and sat in a USP facility for 24 hours longer than expected. Join me as I unbox them.
Update: all but four of them died within the first day. It was a sad lesson to learn. I needed up finding a local breeder to buy adults from and am now hatching out my own babies in my Nuture Right 360 incubator.
I have been pondering raising quails...How cute!
I’ve been enjoying them. They have been pretty easy to incubate. The tiny eggs make great pickled eggs.

The ones that made it are doing well. I lost two more after this filming. I’m at 19 which is plenty. I’m at work overnight and can’t wait to get home to check on them. Hubby says all are well.

I want to use the eggs to make pickled quail eggs and and as another meat source on the homestead. They reach maturity at 6-8’weeks so very fast growing.
