- Welcome Back TIP SQUAD. I Guess you could say this is my first "Moto Vlog" I tried out talking to you guys while I was riding. Bear with me for my first time. It was actually kind of fun. Let me know if you like this style of video and I'll definitely do more like it. I rode in some pretty cold temperatures to really test out my heated gear from @harleydavidson and it worked great. I also changed my exhaust tip for my @TABPerformance 4.5 slip On's because one had chipped so thank them for great customer service. lastly, I speak on Daytona Bike Week and my meet and greet that I will be having hope to see you all there and please enjoy this video. I ride year round and love the cold! Heated gear is awesome! I have Gerbing heated gear.
It’s definitely a game changer
it gets pretty cold here in Chicago 35-40 is the coldest that I've rode in the wind chill makes it feel like 15-25 degrees. Layers or heated gear is a must.

Wish they had heated gear 25 to 30yrs ago. Riding up here in the midwest back then 30, 40, 50° is no fun anytime of year. These old bones refused to do it without heated gear. LoL

I live in Jacksonville, Florida. The way it rains here in the summertime is disturbing. Although temperature wise, it's year round riding, but because of the rain in the summertime, some of us consider riding season starts in the wintertime. I'll be in Daytona on the 7th and 8th. Looking forward to meeting you!

It's different for everyone, I don't wear heated gear and I'm fine. I'm further north to you down in NC (Washington DC) I do the layering method (heavy-lined leather riding jacket, fleece top, long underwear when needed, and riding chaps), and it works just fine for me. The only thing that would get cold was my fingers. I recently wore a set of heavy winter gloves made by a police uniform supplier named Blauer. The gloves are not heated but solved that issue. I got used to cold weather riding as a police officer on motors. I ride to work and some days when I get off at 6:30 am, it can be in the mid-twenties and I do just fine with my setup. I'm not going to Daytona, I'm going to try Outer Banks bike week in NC in April instead and then in June I'll be at Travelling Tall's "Run Through The Hills 4".

Personally I have no reason to ride in the cold, even with the best gear in the world. Not knocking those that do; just not my thing. Appreciate you sharing your motorcycling experiences.

The coldest I've ridden is 34°. I had on my husbands ski suit n heated gloves. My husband gifted me a pair of heated pants for Christmas, but I haven't tried them out yet.
