Hello Everyone I am Toma Rahman. I am a Bangladeshi Student in Canada, I am doing MA at the Memorial University of Newfoundland. I work in a Bank and living in Canada since 2019. If you are new here welcome to my channel. I make videos about higher study abroad and personal finance.
In this video, I talked about the factors you need to consider before applying to graduate school. Doing a master's in thesis stream is not for everyone. there is nothing wrong with that. everyone has a different goal in their life. At the same time, we need to be aware of the conditions that work behind getting scholarships. Top Canadian Universities do not provide scholarships for nothing. This is their long-term investment in you. Your skills and knowledge benefit the university and Canada in the long run. At the same time, your university makes sure that you can study without any distractions.
a lot of my subscribers ask is it possible to get an undergraduate scholarship in Canada. I always answer them, this is very rare. an undergraduate student is basically a noob in their brunch of knowledge. they at first need to learn the basics before reaching out for a research-based career. the US and Canadian Universities are not free like Bangladesh. they are a business entity. they charge money from the undergraduate students that they invest in Masters and Ph.D. research. So there is rarely any scholarship for undergraduate students. only a fraction of people gets undergraduate scholarships. they have an amazing profile like the winner of the international competition etc.
All in all, only the best of the best, gets a scholarship. there is nothing in between. if your CG is a little lower you have to excel in other branches to create a competitive profile. You need to convince the University that you have what it takes to be a researcher. Then if lucky you will get a scholarship. This is one hell of a ride. Not easy at all. With dedication and hard work only you can secure a scholarship in USA or Canada. not anything else.

আপুর কাছে আমার কিছু question. যদি kindly উত্তর পাই উপকৃত হতাম।
আপনি এখন কোন University তে অধ্যয়ন আছেন।কোন subject।আর কি কি University তে apply করলে ভালো হবে।কোন কোন subject.সেই University গুলোর link একটু description box এ যদি দিতে পারেন।আর part time job তো দেশ থেকেই যাওয়ার সাথে সাথে ঠিক হবে।সেই job এর link গুলা।আর পাশ করার পর যে যে job এ apply করবো তার link /যদি বিরক্ত না হন এর description
আর দেশের ভালো কোনো agency -প্রতারক ছাড়া ভালো service,কম cost নেয় এরকম কোনো নাম জানেন কিনা।তার link

আপু সায়েন্স background দের জন্য ভিডিও চাই। আপু undergraduate complete করার পর কিভাবে সায়েন্স - র সাবজেক্ট নিয়ে মাস্টার করতে কানাডা আসা যায়? বিশেষ করে microbiology, genetic Engineering, farmacy, Biology related subject এ
এবং এর career, scientist বা University র Professor কিভাবে হওয়া যায়? requirement? Study plan? Career plan?
আর Honors এ কি কি করতে হবে যা Master’s এ full fund scholarship দিবে? কিভাবে Honors এ নিজে কে তৈরি করবো?
আপনার মতো গুছানো, সহজ সরল ভাবে বোঝানো ভিডিও আর পাচ্ছি না, তাই আপনাকে request করলাম

Some of your statements (US or Canadian Universities run 5k samples through Gard students in a cheap way) are partially true but also false in most sense. But more concern is that can cause negative sentiments towards grad studies, The truth is a vast amount of research is done for advancing respective fields, which though are important would not be viable or would not make any monetary business sense. So you are discussing only one side (with a negative connotation) without sharing that the US or Canada is betting on a Grad student most 99.9% will fail. Another thing is funding agencies heavily invest (far higher than Grad student salaries) in both skill development and state-of-the-art facilities some of them are not available anywhere in the world. So would request you refrain from such disinformation. About TA, most of the TA help undergrads either with homework (5% -10% of the marks) or as an invigilator) again you are portraying as if all (khata dekha) are run by Grad students.
