Who's eaten an ostrich egg before?
Nope
Not me
No!

Can u respond?
"Making the mother of all omelettes, Jack. Can't fret over every egg."

Was looking for a MGRR comment, and you sir did not disappoint
Same
Imagine soaking those eggs in vinegar and turning it into those "rubber" eggs.
Why not
Yeooooo
that woulb probably take like 2 months to do tho, a normal egg takes like 2 days to remove all the shell
NiMe_3 takes like 5 hours lol
Geezz
I was suggested this after watching the Metal Gear: Rising scene of Senator Armstrong saying that he's making the "mother of all omelets" and that you "can't fret over every egg".
as an idea, could you try scaling up the "rubber egg" that you've done before, but with a range of larger eggs? Put every size egg from quail to ostrich in vinegar and see how long it takes for the shell to dissolve
Yes do this
That would actually be cool
I feel like Callie said in a video at one point that she does pastries as a side thing, I'd love to see pastries made with ostrich eggs! Maybe simple to complicated, like try a simple cupcake or cake recipe but also something more complicated like macarons or creme brulee that requires you to separate the eggs. I'd love to see if there's a difference chemically between chicken and ostrich yolk and white.
That’s what I was wondering about a meringue made with the whites of the 🥚.
Yeah I remember her saying that too! Maybe poaching an ostrich egg would be cool!
Great idea btw
I believe it was the video where they cooked a ready made cake in a bbq
I really hope they see this. GREAT idea!!
I'd love to see a hard-boiled ostrich egg, or the egg in vinegar experiment, although I don't know how long it would take to get through the shell.
I worked with polymer clay and made a filigree ostrich egg for my grandmother and it took a couple of weeks to dissolve the ostrich egg shell.
Do a battle of carving the shells. Wanna see both the artistic renderings y'all would come up with
Do we really
Ostrich egg VS jaw breaker
Who will win?
Makin' the mother of all omelettes here, Jack. Can't fret over every egg.
OK, here are some ideas for ostrich eggs:
-make a giant egg carton
-do the osmosis thing, but bigger
-cast aluminum in an empty shell
-use a shell as a crucible in the foundry
-put an entire egg in the vacuum chamber
Yo for the crucible cook an egg in it lol
Try to boil an ostrich egg. Or cook the egg and hydro-dip the shell.
They dont do any thing science they are not grand
I want to see you get a big bowl full of vinegar and putting one of the eggs in it and try to make a giant rubber egg
Y E S!
Do this
I came down here to post this same suggestion.
Wow has anyone done this before?
I'm wondering for how long this has to sit in the vinegar 🤔
they would also need like a much stronger vinegar than just regular foodgrade one. In europe we have 23% vinegar, that you can use for cleaning, dunno what do they have over there
7:17 i feel bad for the camera man watching everybody eat except for him
yes very sad... 😭

When they started having a casual coco while eating the massive omelet it sounded so chill, imagine a podcast?? I’d love that

BRUH🤣🤣🤣
THATS WHAT SHE SAID
“Toad in the Hole” is sausages in Yorkshire Pudding. Which isn’t like American pudding, but like a savoury thick pancake batter cooked in an oven. Much more delicious than it sounds.
Clare Willison yes
It actually sounds delicious
Was gonna comment something like this but I found yours so :)
when calli was blowing the egg, it reminded me of when my family would make easter eggs. now i want to see a giant easter egg made from that blown out egg and know just how fragile it becomes without the yolk inside.
the shells are literally like ceramic. think like a nice teacup kind of durable. I've seen people use blown ostrich eggs for carving eggshell art pieces and the like
@@eldardrakeson came here to say this. I live in South Africa. Local industry either carves/ingraves them or paints them up for the tourist trade.
I have an ostrich egg and it's very hard - super thick shell
I like Kennen.

Toad in the Hole is sausages in a Yorkshire pudding mix then cooked in the oven.
I literally just commented the same thing!
And it's awesome!
Oh my mom said that toads in a hole was bread with a hole cut out with an egg cooked inside
R A T nah a toad in the hole is a traditional dish over here in the uk, it’s a yorkshire pudding with sausages cooked into the middle, a Yorkshire pudding is kinda like a German pancake but savoury, fluffier on the inside, bigger, and crispier on the outside

They should bake something with that egg! Cookies anyone?

looks like you could use the shell itself as a mixing bowl next time.

I have always wanted to do a side-by-side of deviled quail eggs and deviled ostrich egg. Also I feel like Callie needs an emu egg since she was so happy about the ostrich egg. Not as huge as ostrich eggs, but also, the shell is dark green and it's awesome.
Can you soak the Ostrich Eggs in vinegar? Because the Membrane is tougher, it might be really cool!!!

Try and make a giant cake using an ostrich egg I would like to see that
Omg I second that. A giant cup cake
Bro you only use like 2 eggs do a cake that cake wouldn’t fit in the oven lol
omg they made the mother of all omelettes
when i saw this was exactly 10 minutes i was like "this is very rare i should notify people this instant!"

I'd love to see either a hard-boiled egg or a giant sunny-side-up egg, cooked to perfection so it's slightly firm but you can still dip your loaf of bread in it..
I had to watch this when my blood sugar is low 😂 Try the same experiment with an emu egg 🥚 see if there’s any difference.
That would certainly be emusing!
Great video. I've been curious ever since I saw ostrich eggs on the Amazing Race. I'd love to see a successfully runny egg.

So I am watching this in the middle of the night and now I am hungry. Thanks guys.
You mentioned a toad in the hole well I think that's a British dish where its actually made from a Yorkshire pudding (pancake batter) in a tray then put sausages in them before cooking. They're really tasty with gravy.

EDIT: YES I KNOW IT WAS FAMOUS FOR POTTERY AND WHAT NOT.. ITZ A JOKE
idk if this was meant to be ironic but yea, china as in "pottery"
@@jerrylindstrom3323 itz a joke but ya lol
@@jerrylindstrom3323 Why does china refer to pottery anyways?
@@TAOEXPRESS It had to do with the pottery being of higher quality if it was coming from China. This is one of the things that made it a famous country. One could seriously doubt quality these days, but my grandparents have some decent quality china that they bought on a tourist trip to China almost 19 years ago. Perhaps they at least haven't lost THAT touch. I'm rambling and high, but you my point. Historically, Chinese pottery was superior. Hence the name.
@@NekoYuki also thanks for telling me
How about making a large yellow cake or French Vanilla ice cream? With the ice cream you will need several Vanilla Beans to scrape for excellent flavor!

King of Random: making an omelette with an ostrich egg
Me at 2 AM: yeah why not
The way my brother and cousins “blew out” a few ostrich eggs was to drill and top and bottom hole. And use an air compressor to push the contents out and keep the shell whole. They are amazingly tough shells. It was great fun with kids and adults.
0:47 Hahahahaha that running ostrich tho 😂
3:55 “it sounds like China” 😂
Nate grabbed the egg and cracked it open and then he yelled “ YOKEUS POKUS” as the skies opened in great egg glory glitter!!!

My parents were actually close to becoming ostrich farmers before I was born. If the house would’ve been a bit bigger and nicer then I’d probably be living on an ostrich farm haha
You live in Australia??
Uh Oh Stinky. It doesn’t necessarily mean that
Try to dissolve the egg shell with cool designs like you have in the past.

What if you left it in vinegar for like a week? Please try this I've been dying to know!
