The Blodders were a fantastic blues band. It’s a crime that they only made two albums. I swear, somebody should have been arrested. This shit is the shit!
You know Tony was in Tull He worked at a factory too When he went sabbath two finger tips were cutoff in an accident He had metal tips That added to sabbaths sound
I cannot imagine how hard it was to play the opening. Only Hendrix could see this from beginning to end. Catching notes flying and putting them exactly together. Transporting into the future. Thank you Jimi.
This was one of the FAVE cover tracks for The Bolton Iron Maiden. We played support to the Mick Abrahams band in the early 70s - I was a bit star struck, because he was from Jethro Tull. Great band with the great drummer .... Ritchie Dharma - Dharma for One ... Brilliant.
This happens to be the U.S. version. The British version was slower and more stretched. Both are very good. I also have the U.S. mix of "See My Way", which doesn't fade out like the U.K. does. Just wish I knew how to upload music. I'd be doing all the time. This was one of those albums where half the album on both sides of the pond were different. Mick had a great band here.
@@lindamiller8630 Actually, that's not quite right. "Fairies Wear Boots" was written for the debut album in 1969, even though it wouldn't be released until their second album, Paranoid, in 1970.
Tony played with Jethro Tull for a few weeks which is where he met the guitarist in this band that also played with Jethro Tull. After hearing this song i believe Tony " borrowed" some of it for Fairies Wear Boots.
Amazing band, the musicianship is ridiculously brilliant, glad In some ways that he left "Jethro tull" because we had two tremendous band though I do think that "Jethro tull" did lose something special but two visionaries in one band ain't always the best

I do wish they had lasted longer. Music is the blues with a live touch and crystal clear delivery to the receptors in your head.

Curious if this is the track that inspired the opening riff for Aerosmith's "Mama Kin"? ... I suspect so.
very sweet :) QC
This is the remastered version with a different guitar solo. The original vinyl was more like Mick Abrahams.
