I use this on my MKII with a DonnyFl Tanto and the dB is still reasonable. Yes, a little louder but normal, as you’d expect without the OEM shroud. Mine is a .25, I shoot the Zan 33, 35 and 37gr with maximum tunes at around 1000-1020fps. Very accurate but all the Zan’s in both .22 and .25 tend to shoot great from 940-1040fps. The reason I’m commenting though is because on my M3, I have a tension shroud I made, similar to what you mentioned. I used a lock nut up front for stiffening the barrel and then removed the rear of the OEM shroud and slipped it over the carbon shroud I made. It screws on tightly up front in front of the lock nut that I machined. The OEM shroud is centered with o’rings that also stop air blow by out the rear. It is held tightly in place midway up the shroud with a TRS rail. It’s stiff, the OEM shroud over my set up keeps it very quiet and super accurate, shooting the Zan 30.5gr at 1050fps. The TRS rail covers most of it so it doesn’t look goofy. I’d post a picture here but can’t. There are close up pictures on my Instagram. kevinjstoughton Have a good one. Stoti
Love my impact but honestly there’s just way to much crap to go along with it. Today I killed a starling at 231 yards and a coyote at 239yards with my Vulcan 3. I know that sounds like a load of shit. But it’s the honest to god truth. If I had to give up the impact or the Vulcan it wouldn’t even be a question. I’m shooting 49.5G nsa slugs 970fps from Vulcan, and it’s consistency is absolutely mind blowing. It doesn’t matter what day of the week it is. That gun is absolutely shooting within 5fps of 970. And the barrel is rock solid!! When accuracy starts to fall apart I know it’s time to clean barrel and I’m right back on target. Honestly think 970 is a bit much, thinking of slowing down to 940-960 if I can keep same 1 inch accuracy at 100 yards. EDIT: yes my impact is amazing! Thanks for watching my video.
@@PaulHamM3 don't listen to that clown. He spews nonsense.
I noticed your front Valve is open, screwed out, way out ! That will definitely make it BARK !! A LOT. !!! " Muzzle CRACK"
My valve is out 14mm off the block and has absolutly nothing to do with the increased noise, this is caused by the removal of the barrel shroud.in the years since i uploaded this video i have sinced decided to not use the barrel tension kit as it didn't really make a difference to POI shift in the long run.
