I once ran a night Customs raid and was moving through the forested "northern" part of the map when I heard someone else running towards me through the bushes. It was completely dark and I had no NVGs. I stood still and the guy ended up so close to me that I could see a green light waving around-- presumably the LED on the back of a laser aiming module. I dropped a grenade at our feet and ran as fast as I could down the hill and didn't stop running until I got to extract lololol.

That's how I killed a Chad last week on Woods during a night raid. We came down (4 man group, but we split up) the hill right behind Dickhead. My buddy got immediately one-tapped & we kinda "guessed" where the shot came from. We peaked from that secret stash tree & I saw some sort of figure with green eyes (because he put his GPNVG up to check with his thermal to look where we are). I took the shot and head-eyes him.

      @@theorphanobliterator How come how?
      It's purely an arcade approach.
Nobody would run with that gear, nor stop and go, it's purely a way that for now in alpha testing people use to avoid getting hit to trick the terrible net code and servers\ ping..
That's all. Also the running constantly as mentioned before is not a good idea as you can't hear sound and u make a lot of them... if you have "magic powers" of strange skills unlocked and u make no sound when running. well that's another story...
Right now the software is populated just by people who want to win a match.. zero interest in the immersion and concept.
      Just looters... no game.

Honestly night time Interchange is my go-to loot raid, Scav or PMC. Inside of the mall is lit up enough to be able to get around and still see anyone in a gunfight, even without a light or goggles, while outside is dark enough to rat around looting all of the hidden stashes, and avoid being seen by anyone without a thermal or good NVGs.

Cultists are easy to avoid since most of their spawns aren't in areas where most tasks are needed to complete. Except the Cult quest line for Peacekeepers and some parts for Mechanic and Therapist in the beginning for the Ambulances and Signal dishes. Since you need to go to the resort for them. But they spawn on the ends of the wings and you can lose their agro pretty easy by hiding in a room and closing the door. If they do chase they will open the door and try to enter 1 by 1. Making is a bit easy to kill them, and aim for their legs or face to kill them quick. Since they can sometimes run high level chest armor.

you didn't mention it but the n15's have the longest range out of the budget ones but is hyper sensitive to light, its good for darker outdoors areas eg woods. the monocular may have a clearer picture but in use its range is slightly less than the pnv-10's. realistically the average (budget) player should probably really only be using the pnv-10's, maybe the n15's if they want to snipe.

More Tips for dealing with cultists: if you’re at health resort or another area where they frequent find a room close to a group of cultists. Pop one with a bullet and use the door method. Also if you stand directly in front of the door the cultist’s head will barely glitch through the door before they open it giving you a fraction of a second to pop them, it can be dangerous because it requires you to stand directly in front of the door. Repeat the process around their spawn points and you don’t have to worry about them. Be sure to count them and compare it to their average spawn numbers. In case you miss a couple loot carefully.

    Slightly unrelated -
One of the main benefits in real life of running mono nvg's was to run them on your left eye and keep your right eye available for reflex / holo sights, ACOGs etc. You'd then shoot with both eyes open and the image your brain process was the red dot being overlaid on your NVG eye's image (you'd hit a little off to the right under 25m, but nothing that would make you miss center mass).
Tarkov doesn't really model this, but there's no way you can use NVGs with optics other than laser designators, they just don't align, bump onto the optic or fail to pick up the reticle / projected red etc.

Biocular Night vision covers both of your eyes while only providing a single image of NV at the center of the FOV. it only helps getting both of your eyes night vision for cheap and nothing else. Real monocular is one tube for either left or right eye. You can do the one eye closed for bright area thing, but it'll be annoying in game since the vision will never be centered.

Love this content, light and filled with info and passion. I d love to play with u onr day, maybe with the immersive style Vibing Dusty has in his videos of ex Task Force Neptune (check videos of Operation Phantom, tunnel rats Night Gooning etc). That is a style, cinematic and truly qualitative that I fijd almost impossible to play in, as few engage like this in gaming. Anothrr one maybe is Smoketv in Eft old videos and Dayz, some how...
I love no hud and 'no hud team' is the name of the grouo i try to create to play games in the small time available by with high quality of immersion standards and I tried for 2 years to gather a small crew of like minded... Not just for fps games. For now we were focused on GRWildlands campaign... Very light game.
Thanks for your video, it is a mature type of content that is hard to find and leaves you with a smile at the end of the experience.
Controlled pairs gaming isn t bad either. Also he seems focused on quality gaming and immersion but not as much as Vibing dust videos I found about few months ago.
My decision to start this in GRW came after I saw FIST team 79 videos GRWildlands no hud serie, despite noe they just commercialized thrir effort into something that is nor no hud nor inmersive... But de gustibus non disputandum...
Night was one of my first love with this game.i have no money for nvg, sometimes i found it on ground... I just love night as it reminds me of Operation flash point in 2001... What an incredible game it was.

Not that anyone asked. In my experience the only benefit of one tube is its a lot cheaper if you're not on government payroll. The "one eye for light, one eye for dark" concept sounds good in theory, but in practice you just end up with a headache and the worst of both worlds. In my opinion the best way to transition between dark and lit areas with nods without flipping them up and down is to have them sit just above the center of your eyeline so you can just slightly tilt your head up or down to look through or under them. I only mention this because I think that it would be cool if bsg made it to where areas of the maps had different lighting conditions where switching night vision on/off gave you the most clarity. And say that there was night vision skill that when leveled up made it to where you could instantly switch night vision on/off without having to go through the animation of putting them up or down. In real life you can still see fairly well in the light with night vision, and flashlights don't combat night vision like they do in video games but I think that those features would add immersive gameplay.

More night raid advice: Use NV compatible optics. Anything that's illuminated--by nature of NVGs amplifying light--will have significant bloom and noise. The XPS3 line of optics from EOtech are NV compatible, meaning they have extremely low brightness options. It just so happens that all of the EOtech holo optics in EFT are XPS3s; the XPS3-0 (standard circle-dot reticle) and the XPS3-2 (circle+2dot reticle, this is also the model in the HH1 hybrid combo). There are a few other NV compatible optics in EFT, and you should find the ones you like.
When I farm Rogues at night, I roll PVS14 and a Vulcan with a canted red dot, with a DBAL on the handguard. This combo gives me magnified NV, CQB NV, and unaided visual CQB capabilities. The Vulcan is cheap, and while the image is noisy, it's better than dealing with LPVO bloom under NV.

IRL, the best sights for nods are holographic sights and red dots, specifically those made by Sig, Holosun, Eotech, and Aimpoint
You can't use zoom scopes typically because since scopes work by concentrating light into their tube, and there is less light at night, when you look through a scope with night vision, the picture is quite dark!
In tarkov, this is modeled pretty well, which is why if you don't have a night vision scope or thermal scope, you are better off using a 1x red dot or optic. Night raid fights are always in close range as a result of this.
The best optics in tarkov are basically any red dot or holographic. It's personal preference. Just be sure to pick an optic that gives you a clear sight picture, like the comp4, aimpoint micro, or one of the eotecs. I run the aimpoint comp m4 on my western guns and the pk-120 on russian/soviet guns when doing night raids.

Loots are not automaticaly better, but you theoreticaly get on players less. But it also depends on the place you spawn & if they have the spawn nearest you (USEC CAMP for example).

I did a night raid on woods and found a dead PMC with amazing armor and night vision. However, I realized I was taking a small amount of damage, and I was hearing footsteps. I eventually turned around very fast and saw a guy wearing weird armor that I hadn’t seen before or since stabbing me with a knife. I shot him a bunch of times with my Saiga-9 but he kept running into the bushes and coming back out and stabbing me when I wasn’t looking. He eventually ran off and I extracted successfully. The knife barely did anything, but that might be because of the armor that I got from the dead PMC. Still no idea what was happening there. This was at the area with a fence and an SUV next to a small metal building near the scavenger house. This was a few months ago so I don’t know how accurate the memory was. Does anyone know if that was some sort of weird cultist NPC??
