This stuff works great. I buy the gallon size and put it in my pump sprayer with a 3:1 ratio. This allows me to target areas and avoid overspray. It also uses a lot less cleaner this way. I usually leave it on vinyl siding and gutters for about 5 minutes then I rinse it off with no scrubbing. Since it is diluted, it doesn’t damage the grass.
Just tried this for the first time. It's a game changer. Took hours off my pressure washing tasks - pool area, deck, outdoor furniture etc. Stuff looks like it did when it was new. Apply it - BE PATIENT - and it does the hard work for you.
Hey 👋 DM I have a few packages for you 🎁
Do you know approximately how many bottles it takes to clean the siding on a small house? Can it be done with one bottle?
All it is Bleach
I've used this product a few times and it works well after leaving on for around 5 minutes. Like you I have mold coming back frequently and found Wet & Forget products work a bit better for simplicity and treating twice a year. You don't get quick results with Wet & Forget but IMO it keeps the mold away a lot longer.
I have a problem with algae on my siding on the north and east side of my house. I also use wet & forget once a year and it works great no rinsing save for grass and plants. Just attach it to hose and spray. Depending on your water preasure I can do all 3 floors of my house. It is just great.
No joke, this product is really great. We just used this on our north/north west shady side of our vinyl siding house. It was greenish in spots. A quick spray, top to bottom, & another spray with the product. Waited & rinsed off. Totally worked & was easy to use.
Is it a 1 to 1 ratio, meaning don't dilute with water? Thanks! Rob
I tied this two years ago on some 20
Year old Amish deck furniture. Wasn’t impressed. However, I then tried the 1:1 concentrate you put in a pump sprayer. Wow. My furniture looked brand new. I still use Joemax on my siding, sofets and gutters. Have been using it for 18 years.
I'm late getting back. I had ordered some of this cleaner a while back but just didn't have a chance to use it. My portable garage has while vinyl siding that was black around the end vents and thick with green stuff on the side that is always in the shade. So it was the perfect test for this cleaner. I went out this morning and gave it a go. This stuff worked like a miracle. Within just a few seconds black and green juice was running down the siding. Towards the bottom, near the ground the green mold/mildew was really thick. In that small area I took a rubber brush on a pole and wiped across the siding. When I rinsed it off the entire end of the garage was bright white and perfectly clean! The one thing I did differently was instead of using the dispenser set to "rinse", I removed the dispenser and attached my normal hose nozzle. Having a shutoff on the end of the hose definitely made the switch easy as I was 200 feet from the hose shutoff. I definitely recommend this cleaner!
This stuff works the balls! I'll be retiring my pressure washer because this makes the job enormously easier and you won't need to be climbing ladders so that your pressure washer can reach the second floor....this cleans the high spots from the ground, and does it in MINUTES, not hours. Highly recommended!!
I agree absolutely. I don't have to pay anyone to pressure wash my driveway lol
What’s it doing balls?
@@Formerlywarmer Cleaning your vinyl siding. You have reading comprehension difficulties?
@@foxmyx62 I do ok with most words and phrases but I don’t get the ball thing… you putting it on ur balls? I’d recommend you ask ur gynecologist about that first
@@Formerlywarmer Hey nitwit I'm male I don't have a gynecologist...maybe you do, though.
I had light-colored decorative landscape gravel aggregate that had accumulated 20 yrs of black mildew and green algae stain after I removed the shrubbery by cutting it all off just below the ground line. I used the 30 Second Cleaner concentrate and mixed it with water in a garden sprayer as prescribed on the bottle, soaked the gravel and kept it damp for 15 minutes with the mix, and then power-washed it off with moderate water pressure. The difference was truly amazing - I couldn't be happier with the results! This stuff works!!
A trick is to always look for the MSDS online. It tells you what's in a product, to the degree they are required to disclose the percentages by law (they try to keep it a 'trade secret'.) This stuff looks just like many of the other bleach products (its primary ingredient is sodium hypochlorite and a surfactant, i.e. soap). Regular old bleach in a sprayer works just as well, and costs a few bucks a gallon.
I actually reuse the hose end sprayer from a similar product and refill with bleach and a little bit of soap (the product was cheaper than buying a hose end sprayer, and I knew it worked with bleach.) I love it for vinyl siding and cleaning the roof (asphalt shingles.)
Or use liquid pool chlorinator (like HTH). It's 10% NaClO. Laundry bleach is usually
What kind of soap do you use? Also what's the ratio of soap to bleach that you have found most effective?
@@magneto3228 Just some regular dish soap, like dawn, not that much maybe 2 tbsp per half gallon. Sometimes just use trisodium phosphate, which is what GAF recommends for the roof. 1/4c per gallon
@@bnasty267 What ratio of bleach to water do you use?
@@Strizzle81 You actually want it to be pretty high, like 4:1 water:bleach. That's the ratio GAF recommends for cleaning shingles. I tend to go that strong, because I don't want to do multiple applications, but you can always go lower if you have plants or other stuff nearby that you're worried about. If you're doing it on a roof or siding that has a lot of sun, do it early/late and/or presoak with water to cool it off first. You don't want the bleach water to evaporate too quickly.
I would sure like to see your recommendations on an easy to install outdoor/landscape lighting system.
yes!!
Yes I would like the same thing. I want to see some fixtures that actually are bright, that actually illuminate trees shrubs and or the building. Whether they are 12volt or 120 Volt. There’s no use wasting your time and or money if you’re not satisfied with the results. You want to have dramatic results!
May I suggest this video from Rob @the hook up to tide you over in the short term ua-cam.com/video/q1G4UurGZfQ/v-deo.html
definitely
I used something like that to clean my white vinyl shed last fall. It had black stuff all over from the trees. I was amazed at how quickly and how much it cleaned it. I also happened to get a bit of it on a shirt that I was wearing when my ladder got sprayed and I leaned into the ladder. Not a disaster, but makes sure you don't get it on clothes you want to keep nice.
Thanks for the warning. I very nearly wore my tuxedo when I applied the product.
Get the gallon or 2.5 Gal concentrate and a pump sprayer; it will go a lot further that way.
I’m glad to see this stuff works! I got a bunch for $1 each at Lowe’s on clearance in the middle of the winter...
On clearance, of course! It's only bleach!!!
Deal of the century 👍🏻
I applied this mold removal and works very well on vinyl siding it’s took all the green mold on exterior. Looks very clean and not harmful to plants and grass. Thanks
The 30 second cleaner in the undiluted gallon bottle works awesome too… get yourself one of those empty spray bottles from Lowe’s or Home Depot , fill it undiluted and spray it on white algae covered plastic fences, or anything white or pavers on the outside of your home or back yard, let it sit a few minutes and rinse it off … make sure to wear old clothing while doing lol…
Used this in the past and worked great. Use in a cheap pump sprayer because it will ruin it even if you clean right after use
I used this on my dirty yellow siding. I left the product for 5 minutes then rinsed with water. The siding was super clean. Then 24 hours later the siding was even brighter and cleaner ....to the point when the siding was new. The cleaning was in Sept. 21. The siding still looks great.
Used it on my second floor soffits, wow, it just worked great. Your right about the volume in the container, lasted just over 1 minute before it was used up.
I found that it works better when you apply it in sunlight and let it sit for a couple minutes....then wash it off. Works great.
Love the channel. I’ve used the product and it has good results. It’s a little pricey for what it does. I’ve had great results mixing bleach in a 1:3 or 1:2 ratio depending on what I am cleaning using a pump sprayer. Believe it or not I’ve sprayed the mold on my shed with a bleach mix in a window sprayer before a rain and was amazed how it cleaned with no additional water.
It's good. It contains a high percentage of chlorine. Might also be as good using straight clorex chlorine from the bottle with the 30 second spray applicator.
Great product, I used it to clean my vinyl siding and WOW what a difference. Highly recommended 👍
I buy the gallon size and put it in a sprayer. This stuff is pretty good. Time is money and it’s well worth it to me. 👍🏼
I purchased a large bottle of this for our outdoor patio. I was not impressed! It took a bit of the mold off but the next day I used my trusty pressure washer. Now it looks brand new! I’m sticking with the power washer, I power wash every Spring!
I've used this stuff before and it works great. The north side of the house looked like an evergreen tree with mold. I went through two bottles but it worked great.
This is good to know. My local hardware store does a “bucket day” every spring. First 100 customers get a free 5 gallon bucket, and 15% off anything you can fit in it. I put a similar cleaner in on a white, since my white fence is 2 yrs old now, and pressure washing the whole thing seems awful. I was worried about the bleach and grass, so your tip to get it wet makes me feel better! Plus, the bucket has a padded handle! Win win.
Windex Outdoor Glass Cleaner. Similar idea -- a plastic spray bottle you hook up to your hose. Able to reach 2nd story windows with my water pressure. Did a great job. $11.28 a bottle at Lowe's.
This stuff works good. I used it to wash the vinyl siding on the house.
You're better off buying the big 2.5 gallon size and using a pump sprayer to apply it.
I bought HDPE-composite deck furniture when I built my plastic composite deck 12 years ago. I clean the deck and deck furniture every couple of years, but clean the white PVC covering the rim joists, risers, and posts every six months.
I have Azek (PVC) trim on the corners of the house. Azek seems to inhibit algae growth. It remains bright white, while the factory-finished HardiPlank siding turns nearly fluorescent green with algae.
I’ve had good results with the wet & forget from Costco. I’d like to see if the runoff messed with your grass in a week or so. W&F keeps regrowth of algae etc. down for at least a year. It’s not bleach but some kind of aluminium compound.
I use Wet and Forget once a year on my white fences, pole barn door and sunken patio bricks. Love it! But I use 30 Seconds on my walkways and deck.
Thanks. I need to try that. I have HardiPlank siding with a factory finish. I've used hypochlorite, but the north side of the house greens-up within six months and looks awful.
@@jonkirkwood469 You need a new paint job. Sherwin Williams weathguard.
Quick tip, get a gallon of meguiers quick wax off Amazon, after cleaning anything outdoors spray on some and dirt and algae can’t stick to it everything rinses right off. Did this to my 20yrs old vinyl fence and my painted garage doors works awesome
I used this earlier in the spring and I can confirm this stuff is amazing. Used it in my tow behind sprayer and applied it to our vinyl sided house right before a storm. Worked perfectly! I Used the larger concentrated jug rather than the mix in this video. I possibly had a stronger solution as well because immediately as I applied the product it was breaking down the algae and dirt and running several bugs off that were hiding up under the eaves.
I saw this video last week and decided to give this product a try. I had neglected cleaning my house for more than several years and that green algae and blackened algae has grown thick. I was ashamed of myself for letting my house get so ugly....... my house on two sides were covered in green algae..... off to Home Depot and I bought the spray bottle for $20 and the one gallon refiller for I think closer to $30. I used all of the product. I will have to say, the results were reasonable and acceptable; I temper my excitement because I had neglected my house for so long...... I had unreasonably hoped for a miracle.... I was very satisfied with the results I got. I will give this product a RECOMMEND.
I will add that I also did a side my side comparison experiment where I also used BLEACH.
On the lower reaches of my house I poured bleach into the empty product container and sprayed my house.
I expected the algae to melt away....... it did not.
But with a broom brush I was able to brush away the algae.
My vinyl siding look great...... the bleach is a very good cleaner.
But it required brushing.
So, being frugal as I am......
On the lower reaches of my house I used bleach alternating between spraying it on, mopping it on, and brushing it on from a bucket.
Then rinsing off with a hose.....
Nice job.... my house looked clean.... on the lower reaches.
And as you know, bleach is very inexpensive....
So I thought to do the lower reaches with bleach.
Then I thought to save the more expensive 30 Second Cleaner for the upper reaches of my house where the product did a fine job acceptable.
For about $50, my house is clean......
Let me add one more comment.....
You have to leave the product on the house for several minutes.... 5 or 10 minutes as prescribed in the video.
BUT... here is the caveat.... pay attention....
The plastic bottle the product comes in will compress...... when it is empty.
When it does this.... STOP SPRAYING...... because you are now spraying WATER on your house risnsing off the product you just paid good money for....
You're supposed to leave the product on the house.....
Walk away and let the product work for you....
Go bleach some other part of your house meanwhile....
Come back and rinse off the house....
I did find that not every patch of algae came off the house.....
So if you are lucky to own a 24 foot extention handle for washing houses...... use this to reach the spots you have seen left behind....
Use bleach.... or... if you want to spend the money...... but more of the 30 Second Cleaner..
Gutters and down spouts I have seen are difficult to get cleaned.......
I'll use my 24 foot extension handle to work on those....
This stuff is awesome. Been using it for years. I buy the 2 gallon and mix it 1 for 1 with water and use it on vinyl siding. Beats using the pressure washer.
I prefer Wet N Forget. You spray it on in the fall no rinsing required and let it go to work all winter. Come spring it looks like you just pressure washed everything!
Been using this for many years.
It is made in Abbotsford British Columbia
It works very well on cleaning siding on your house. Let it soak for a few minutes. Then rinse off.
I found using this in an old pump sprayer with a 50/50 mix works way better than the spray bottles they provide. You use way less product and does a better job, since you can evenly coat on whatever you are cleaning. I have an old ceder fence that was really mossy/moldy and it made it look almost brand new.
Its a great product, and better still if using in a pump sprayer.
Hey 👋 DM I have a few packages for you 🎁
Getting the concentrate and adding it to a sprayer is more effective I think. You’ve got a lot more control over what you get the solution on too. My dads house is painted white and he uses this every summer to get it super clean.
But if you need to reach the 2nd floor...
@@matsudakodo ladders
@@SlimeBallBill you're going to reposition a 25 foot ladder every 10 feet around the house? Have fun.
@@matsudakodo I’d probably only have to adjust 6 times because I walk on the roof when I spray the upper level
The active ingredient is Sodium hypochlorite. I believe that's the ingredient that makes bleach work. The new Clorox performance is about the same price for 3 gallons with the same active ingredient.
It's a little pricey, but it works great. I used to use a 50/50 bleach mix, but the mist is tough on the eyes and lungs. (I usually use a respirator with bleach/chemical cartridges and wear safety glasses, but the 30 second is much easier on the body and does a great job.)
I mix my own and add 2 or 3 ounces of dish soap, the foaming let’s the bleach cling on to the surface and cleans better without scrubbing
SC, ever since I discovered 30second cleaner a few years ago, I basically don’t use the pressure washer anymore. Here is my personal suggestion ….. get a jug of concentrate, and use it in a hand held pump sprayer. Using a sprayer (as opposed to the garden hose) offers much greater control of application and will yield far better coverage and results. Uniformly spray on a surface, wait a minute, reapply a second time, wait another minute then hose off. I use this cleaner on virtually everything outside, minus glass windows (etching). Last, wear work clothes because this product will stain them. Oh, don’t use in the sun as you don’t want it to dry before a good water rinse.
Hey 👋 DM I have a few packages for you 🎁
I use the hand sprayer also. A scrub brush for tough spots & then rinse
Try wet & forget moss, mold, mildew and algae stain remover. It has no bleach but still kind of pricey.
I've had great results with Wet N Forget. It isn't instantaneous, but works well.
I have as well. The only problem is you have to be careful around plants and vegetation as it will do damage.
Use that stuff on my white vinyl picket garden fence. Took the mold right off of it. I hit every other year.
Thanks for the info. I know you sprayed some water down before the cleaner to help protect, but doesn’t the cleaner still mix with the preventive water and possibly bleach the other surfaces and especiallyharm the grass (as you showed in the beginning pointing at your shed)?
I'm surprised you didn't buy the gallon concentrated one and put it in your fancy sprayer. I love this stuff for my vinyl siding and pvc fence.
I love your videos! You analyze every detail and explain everything. Your voice s so friendly and easy to understand. Looking forward to the solar light video coming soon!!!!!
I recently had my house power washed by a professional because I had areas either I couldn’t reach or simply couldn’t clean entirely. Well my professional power washer guy had trouble with one spot as well so I am going to purchase this product and give it a go!
I've used this over the years & it works for me! Thanks for the validation!
Just put lil dawn bleach and water back in that hose end sprayer and see if it dose t do the same thing. Really don’t need Dawn but bubbles help keep track of what’s sprayed and not and it cleans a bit

I find using a pump sprayer with 30 sec cleaner is far more effective than the prefilled hose bottle. It uses much less cleaner and cleans better. Only downside is the speed of application is considerably slower.
Hey 👋 DM I have a few packages for you 🎁
I agree I bought a bottle of it last weekend and it seems like you go through it super fast. But they do sell a concentrated bottle I think that you can mix up.
This was helpful, can't wait to try on my mildew white patio furniture plus some. Keep u posted. Thank you😘
It wooks good on wood to . I use it every year on my deck and fencing
I used a similar product that claimed it would not harm plants and grass. I did similar as u did. Wet before and rinse after and i still had plants die near my siding. I actually had also bought this product but i have been afraid to use it in the fear of causing more harm to my flowerbed amd grass
I just bought a spray bottle and a gallon bottle to use with a pump sprayer. Wanting to get mold off my deck railing. Followed all the instruction to the letter, I did use a pressure washer to rinse off, because I have low water pressure. I am not very happy with the results. I agree, you go through the spray bottle super fast and the spray is really big. I prefer using a pump sprayer. I let it sit for at least 5 minutes. The results were very inconsistent, with a lot of mold left behind. Won't be using this again.
A year later and I thought I saw this video from you so back to use this in 2024 to clean my outdoor items. Thanks again! ❤🤘
spray and forget re activates with each rain. less toxic but takes longer. longer lasting results though.
I used the big bottle once and it did a good job, but I ended up making up my own mix that works just as well. Put it in the 2.5 gallon bottle. I gallon of bleach, 2 cups TSP powder, 1 cup TSP substitute and top off with water. Mix that 50/50 with water in my garden sprayer and good to go. I just ran across LA Totally Awesome and will probably start adding that to my mix as well
What is TSP
tri sodium phosphate. get at lowes
This stuff is bleach with a few additives. Diluting bleach with water and adding a surfactant like Dawn soap will do just as well for a lot less money depending on the size of the job.
Save the sprayer and refill with the larger concentrate bottle.
I need something for my driveway. I always trusted your expertise in my lawn. What do you recommend for my driveway ? Pressure washing
Good timing! I was just looking for something like this for the vinyl siding on my storage shed. The side that is in the shade is all green and yucky. I'm going to give it a try and will report back.
Try wet and forget it is better
@@richsparkman9980 I tried that stuff once, it didn't do much for me.
Great video! I used that on 25 year old concrete steps and they came out brand new!
Thanks for this tip. I must try it on my 20-year-old concrete steps.
Wonder how this will do in cedar shingle siding. 🤔 yeah mold and mildew in this area is relentless.
I used this on our church. It works great but 30 seconds is a little bit of a stretch if things are very dirty. Also it's definitely a version of outdoor bleach not sure what the exact makeup
You should’ve used the nozzle on the applicator to rinse it off. It gives you a nice jet and does a really good job knocking off the dirt.
Worked like a charm on my house and my storage shed. Good stuff!
I use pool chlorine diluted 1 to 2 parts water in a spray bottle and that works pretty good.
Thanks so much, I saw this product yesterday though wasn't sure about it. Just what I was looking for something I don't have to scrub.
This stuff works! I've been using it for about 6 years.
The msds says it's bleach, so I would just use a pool chlorine tab and mix it with distilled water and put it back in the sprayer each time. It's funny the upper part of the msds says it's proprietary, you scroll down and it says it's bleach. Companies love bottling crap and selling it as something else.
Buy a soft bristle deck brush. Spray and then scrub with the brush. Works every time.
Me too. Spray it on my vinyl siding, let it sit for 4-5 minutes, then use a soft bristle brush on a Mr. Longarm extension pole, then rinse. DO NOT let this product dry so my recommendation is to do smaller sections, not one whole side of your house. It will stain your clothes, fair warning.
This stuff works, but like Wet and Forget does it damage vegetation? My gut says yes.
Good stuff ! I spray my white plastic lawn chairs and they clean up like new!
This product really good and you can keep bottle and buy refill solution.
what about wood decks? Did video about cleaning mine did not come out to good with little soap & bleach....
Another trick with the red nozzle is you can pull it off and turn it 90° to change the spray pattern
The directions clearly say to use a brush after you apply....brushing REALLY DOES HELP!!
Awesome… very beautiful 👌
Fully watched 👍👍👍👍👍
Just finished my house, two story. Works as advertised...vinyl siding
Nice sprayer! What is inside is water, bleach, and liquid dish washing detergent. No secret ingredients!
I love this product. What I don’t love is the cost and yes I rip though product. You could easily spend a few hundred on refills if you clean pvc fence on a 1/3 of an acre
Simple Green is my go to cleaning 🧼 product. Safe to use on everything! One gallon goes a long way! 👍🏻😎
Except Aluminum
Awesome timing!
Been watching for a while and subbed. I took your advice on the Anderson’s fertilizer. WOW, my lawn appreciates it and I’m in Mass too living in this miserable May weather. GREAT content. Nice spread you got there! From ol’ Cape Cod.
I've found out the refill is not the same product.
The product on the video is great, really works.
A small soft wash system and some chlorinating liquid from a pool store plus surfactant will wash everything you have outdoors forever.
Used this to clean my vinyl fence and cedar siding and it’s amazing
This product is ok but I had to use it full strength on vinyl siding and it wasn't even that dirty.
Mold only grows where there is moisture and stillness in the air. If your furniture is in a sheltered area, then it will continue to be a recurrent problem.
If you want to pollute you best garden with chemicals it's the best option. Otherwise I would recommend a pressure washer or kitchen soap and a sponge. Sad that this is not even mentioned in the video. By the way bleach damages next to UV light plastic the most (gets brittle).
Misleading but 30 Second Cleaner is just the Brand Name. If you read the directions on use it says to leave the product on for 3 mins (for plastic/vinyl)
Any suggestions for a 3/8's hose reel for a pressure washer hose, I see you have one for your garden hose but that's a larger hose I believe.
It works better then I was expecting
Cleaned the front of my house today. It did fine. I guess they call it 30 second cleaner because that’s how long the bottle lasts after you turn the water hose on.
