@@TheMashandDrum the content is why I’m here... that said, this has amazing production and b-roll swag! The hard editing work is appreciated. I do a lot of video promo editing for my work, and I can tell you that, on average, I usually do an hour’s worth of work per minute... so an 10 min video might run me 10 hours of shooting and editing work (with more time for shorter videos where I have to really work on keeping the content full and all-encompassing in only 2-4 min). Kudos on the editing labor Jason! I cut corners on video length (ie, making a longer video slightly shorter) by doing L and J audio cuts. They’re easy to do, and often allows me to cut to and from b-roll while saving about 10 seconds per min of a video. Kudos on your b-roll and audio overlays.

Ive had A120 and b520 both were great the a120 bottle was marked small batch and Barrel proof but the b520 I noticed doesn't say small batch it just says Barrel proof
Great to see the affordable and somewhat accessible Elijah Craig Barrel Proof B520 (one of my favorites) make #3 among the high-priced and allocated bottles. Love the channel!
Props to you for not only your list, but the production value on your bottle shots, the soundtrack and the judgement criteria. Most of the bottles on the list are pretty hard to find. Even Elijah Craig Barrel Proof has been a no-show in my area for 2020. Aside from the B519, none of my local favorite shops received any of the 2020 releases. It's strange, as COVID has created availability on expressions in locations that I'd otherwise never expect to see some pretty nice expressions. Knob Creek 12 has been available, is dang good and has been the sleeper of the year for many. Bringing this expression up in conversation, it seems many have not tried it. But between this being on your list, as well as other UA-cam channel lists, and being awarded "Whiskey of the Year" by Breaking Bourbon, it's gaining attention now. A couple of weeks ago, I mentioned this to one of the floor staff at the local Total wine. He had yet to try the 12 and had yet to hear about Breaking Bourbon's rating. Their shelf was full of the 12. A week later, they were out of stock. The power of the internet. Your ranking is going to make things even more pressing - thanks man (joking but not joking!). May every bottle be a great one and have a happy and healthy New Year.

Love the list! My number one was actually Old Carter but it was the American Batch 4 (LOVE the 3 as well). Old Carter has figured it out man. The Bourbon Junkies had their Rye as their favorite Rye this year as well. Phenomenal stuff. Awesome video
For me the best opening this year were Hudson Bright Lights and Hudson Rye. For me they become bottles I reach out the most when I want my evening drink

Great list! Couldn't agree more, EC BP is always a staple for me and I too compare everything on the market with it, best value in bourbon by far. I also agree with the Old Carter batch 5 being #1. I was lucky enough to snag a bottle of this for a great price at $175 and it was absolutely incredible and was also my favorite bottle this year, my only complaint is that I didn't buy more of it. Keep up the good work Jason, love the vids.

Have the Old Carter batch 5 unopened waiting for a special occasion. Have ECBP. Have EHTBP. I passed on a few of your bourbons on the top 10 this year. I was waiting for the WT 17 BIB but never saw it this year. I thought it was going to be easy for me to find because I see masters keep every year but this one. Great list!!! Cheers!!!
Great way to cap off the year, excellent collection of Top 10 whiskies. Thanks! Too bad most of em were so hard to find... maybe cause i hunkered down hiding from covid-19, and saw decidedly less of my favorite whiskey shops as a result. Therefore, my top 5 list is based on what I could find via online only shopping... 1. Knob Creek 15 store pick(k&l), hell- even the 9yr store picks were very nice whiskey 2. Lucky Seven Proprietor12yr, B#9 3. Stagg Jr, batch 13 4. Doc Swinson’s Exploratory Cask, 15yr B#8 5. IW Harper 15yr (cause it blends well with high proofers (e.g. #3) and sips nicely too.)

Awesome list, my man! Some hitters here. Several I didn't have, but we did end up with 3 of the same in our top 5s (Laubade, ECBP B520, WT MK 17 BIB) Sam Houston Indiana batch also made my top 10. MK BIB got robbed though!! Ha ha, jk - I only heard amazing things about that Carter batch 5, so I'll totally to take your word on that ;) Also I totally agree w/ your ending sentiment - 2020 sucked bigtime, but whiskey tube was better than ever and was a nice respite from the real world.

Anyway, here are some favorites this year: Rare Breed Russels Reserve barrel pick from Davidoff Elijah Craig Barrel Proof B520 (thanks to your relentless recommendations loll) Stagg Jr batch 14 And I should note that I went and bought Bardstown Bourbon Discovery Series because of you too, so my bank account is a little upset, but we’ll make it thru once I taste it I’m sure.

Nailed it! I can quibble with the order, but these are all of my favorite releases of 2020. My Top 10 is exactly the same EXCEPT, I would fit Smoke Wagon in there somehow. Also, I never got the chance to try Ch Labaude. BTW... my New Year lineup (which were my favorites of the year) was: Smoke Wagon PB, Wild Turkey 17BiB, Sam Houston 14, EHT BP 9, and Old Carter Bourbon batch #5. Very close to your top 5. I must be following your channel closely or we have very similar palates...

Jason, Love your videos, my friend. I’ve got the opportunity for an Old Carter, batch #79 single barrel, but I know single barrels can be hit or miss for most bourbons. Should I wait for a blend to be safe, or take the plunge? Price is $250.

I agree with the Old Carter Batch 5 pick such a great bourbon! Luckily I grabbed a couple bottles before your and the other reviews came out. Elijah Craig B520 and both the Wild Turkeys BIB and Russells Reserve 2003 were my other tops. Unfortunately did not get a chance to try the Antique collection this year but WLW usually is a favorite of mine as well. Keep up the great videos!!!

I do have unopened bottles of Stagg Jr, Smoke Wagon Uncut, and Elijah Craig Barrel Proof C920 I bought in 2020, so can’t comment on those yet 😆.

Wt 17 bib is the most criminally under rated bottle on the secondary I've ever seen. It's so good but sells for 50 above retail, I've never understood it. One of my favorites this year also
Couldn’t agree anymore with ya on old Carter batch 5 was definitely my number one ☝🏻 of 2020 ! I’d put my Joseph Magnus cigar blend and the Garrison Brothers Cowboy bourbon right behind it .
Nice list! I like it when I can just open my google docs list of whiskey and take notes. Also, I might be somewhat new to the channel still and not familiar with the typical music but I thought the music was new and I was really digging it!
Where I live in Canada, I've only seen 2 of these at the liquor stores. Knob Creek 12 (over $100) and Master's Keep (almost $300). Being a bourbon junkie up here sucks! It's even hard to get all the shelf turds, and when we do, they typically aren't cheap!
Jason you always do a great job with your content. Doesn't mean I agree with all your picks, but so what. Well done. Just can't get on board with MK BiB. Too cough syrupy for me. I'll stick to 101, and Russell's SiB, which ALWAYS make my list.
Elijah Craig B520 is magic in a glass!! I am very surprised that Smoke Wagon Uncut and Unfiltered didn't make the top 10. I have been drinking bourbon for twenty years and Smoke Wagon is crushing it.

Thank you so much for all of your videos in 2020. They were a blessing to me. It was tough year in general, but also personally, so getting into bourbon was awesome, and your videos helped take my mind off some of the stress when I needed to relax.
Anyway, here are some favorites this year:

Great video, you keep killing it with the quality in production and honesty in your reviews. Many on the list I would love to get my hands on like Parker's Heritage and Master's Keep 17yr bib... I should stop passing on Bardstown's offerings and just bite the bullet and pay north of $100 for a bottle finally since I'm not finding any of these other bottles. Cheers, Jason!

ECBP (all three) and Smoke Wagon UFUC were my two favorite finds this year

Nailed it! I can quibble with the order, but these are all of my favorite releases of 2020. My Top 10 is exactly the same EXCEPT, I would fit Smoke Wagon in there somehow. Also, I never got the chance to try Ch Labaude.
BTW... my New Year lineup (which were my favorites of the year) was: Smoke Wagon PB, Wild Turkey 17BiB, Sam Houston 14, EHT BP 9, and Old Carter Bourbon batch #5. Very close to your top 5. I must be following your channel closely or we have very similar palates...

Jason, Love your videos, my friend. I’ve got the opportunity for an Old Carter, batch #79 single barrel, but I know single barrels can be hit or miss for most bourbons. Should I wait for a blend to be safe, or take the plunge? Price is $250.

I agree with the Old Carter Batch 5 pick such a great bourbon! Luckily I grabbed a couple bottles before your and the other reviews came out. Elijah Craig B520 and both the Wild Turkeys BIB and Russells Reserve 2003 were my other tops. Unfortunately did not get a chance to try the Antique collection this year but WLW usually is a favorite of mine as well. Keep up the great videos!!!
The WLW and Stagg were great for 2020 but couldnt get bottles unfortunately.

My top 4 for 2020 in order are Elijah Craig Barrel Proof B520, store pick of Old Forester barrel strength, store pick of Wilderness Trail Rye single barrel, and Smoke Wagon Small Batch. I do have unopened bottles of Stagg Jr, Smoke Wagon Uncut, and Elijah Craig Barrel Proof C920 I bought in 2020, so can’t comment on those yet 😆.
Great vid - happy I found this channel this year. I was lucky enough to get a bottle of Wild Turkey Master's Keep this past year and it was great.
I found a bottle of old carter batch 5 on a shelf about a month ago. It is amazing juice.
And that wild turkey 17yr BIB was 🔥🔥 My # 3 for 2020.

Wt 17 bib is the most criminally under rated bottle on the secondary I've ever seen. It's so good but sells for 50 above retail, I've never understood it. One of my favorites this year also

Couldn’t agree anymore with ya on old Carter batch 5 was definitely my number one ☝🏻 of 2020 ! I’d put my Joseph Magnus cigar blend and the Garrison Brothers Cowboy bourbon right behind it .
Nice list! I like it when I can just open my google docs list of whiskey and take notes. Also, I might be somewhat new to the channel still and not familiar with the typical music but I thought the music was new and I was really digging it!
Where I live in Canada, I've only seen 2 of these at the liquor stores. Knob Creek 12 (over $100) and Master's Keep (almost $300). Being a bourbon junkie up here sucks! It's even hard to get all the shelf turds, and when we do, they typically aren't cheap!
Yeah alot of the Canadian guys that watch always say how hard it is up there.

Jason you always do a great job with your content. Doesn't mean I agree with all your picks, but so what. Well done. Just can't get on board with MK BiB. Too cough syrupy for me. I'll stick to 101, and Russell's SiB, which ALWAYS make my list.
It does get very cherry over time. When people don't enjoy it..that cough syrup note is what I always hear. Understandable.

Elijah Craig B520 is magic in a glass!! I am very surprised that Smoke Wagon Uncut and Unfiltered didn't make the top 10. I have been drinking bourbon for twenty years and Smoke Wagon is crushing it.
Love me some Smoke Wagon. Even the least of them, the straight bourbon whisky, is delicious.
It was in my top 20 tasting. It literally was #11
C920 was my favorite ECBP this year idk maybe I got a bad batch of B520 it just tasted like dry black pepper to me
