Sony MHC RX110AV DJ mix gear testing.

1998 SONY MHC RX110 AV similar to RX99 or GRX9. This is the North American model. It says 290 watt total RMS, while Asian, South American models all say 250 watt RMS. Not sure why or how Sony pulled out more RMS on 110 volt North American market.
Sony was the first commercial home audio maker that introduced DJ mix gear for the home mini hifi. No other company was able to do it successfully. I try to demonstrate the full capability of the DJ pro mix system.
The Sony MHC models between 1993 to 1999 were of extremely high quality as you can see even after 24 years it sounds and looks brandnew.
The speakers are 3 way, 5 speaker Dolby prologic, HOP, quick edged woofers for safe excursion with high stability and good bass. It also uses VACS (variable attenuation control system) circuit to control distortion during high woofer excursion.

My dad has the rx99 version of this which he bought from a friend that worked at sony in 1998, before I was born lol. He used for 10 years until I was 2 I think, and we recently found it dusting away at my granddads house. Turns out the thing still powers on 25 yrs later although we had to replace the cd drive belts. Even with the dj buttons registering the wrong inputs at times and the cd drive only reading sony cd-rs clearly, the sound is still good. From a gen z person I wish these systems were known more.
