this scene is one of the most heartbreaking in the Star Wars universe. it's possible that Ahsoka's choice to leave the order also had a part in turning Skywalker.
+CrushPotato Clone Wars qualifies as Canon. so it is safe to say that just because characters like tano were not included in the movies they most certainly existed off camera... dude.
+CrushPotato Movie wise no, but I think it's meant to build on Anakins frustration with the Jedi Order, how they distrusted Ahsoka etc. and started to show some of their darker side
Nathan Murphy Nope, would have saved Anakin, would have killed Paletine, could have saved the Republic. Anakin was the Reason the Republic fell and she could have prevented it.
Anakin wasn't really the reason. Had he not rushed to Palpatine's office and cut of Windu's arm, Palpatine would have killed Windu nonetheless (he was just playing weak to get him on his side), would have activated Order 66 nonetheless, and the Republic and Jedi would have fallen. Anakin might have fought back, but neither Yoda nor Obi-Wan were able to make any difference, and neither would Anakin.
AGH331 You are wrong. After Starwars Legends and other Sources, Anakin was the Chosen One and had the Power to defeat Darth Sidious, who wasnt acting weak but really was dying.
This entire story arch is excellently written and the voice acting is superb, it always brings fear and sadness into my heart and soul. Thanks Ashley Eckstien for the beautiful voice to a wonderful character. George Lucas for the great script. Kevin Kiner for the beautiful and touching musical masterpiece. This is what I call a well written emotional season finale!
There was a lot more planned. If you google Thank You Clone Wars you will find the link to a page on the Star Wars website that contains sketches made during the meeting for Season 7 which we won't see since Disney cancelled the show. Such planned arcs include: - a Cad Bane and Boba Fett arc (which was planned for Season 6, Daniel Logan the voice of Boba has said that he had recorded lines for it, I guess this arc wasn't close to being completed animation wise) - the season was supposed to open with an arc about Rex leading an experimental and unorthodox group of Clones called Bad Batch; also Echo would return and his relationship with Rex would be key to the arc; this was confirmed by the writer of the arc Brent Freidman via Twitter - arc where Anikan and Padame go to Mon Calamari - an arc about Padame - an arc where Yoda goes to Kashyyk - an arc about Ashoka and Bo-Katan - a Darth Maul and Quinlon Voz arc - a Assajj Ventress and Quinlon Voz arc = this one is going to be told through a novel coming out next summer While not shown in the concept art there were other arcs planned that Filoni didn't mention. - Season 6 would've contained a Darth Maul arc that is being told through the comic book series Son of Dathomir - Season 6 was also supposed to feature a Anikan and Obi-Wan arc where they are on an adventure for a McGuffin object (the animation for this was shown at a story telling panel held by Filoni which you can find on UA-cam; and Freidman was kind enough to elaborate on the plot) - Brent Freidman also mentioned that he wrote a Rex and R2 arc for Season 8 One more thing the show had plans for 8 seasons. When the show was cancelled the crew had just finished writing the series finale.
jstarwars360 Aye, I heard about all that after the Lost Missions were aired. Disappointed the series was cancelled then, but at least they're getting adapted into books and comics. Can't wait for the Vos/Ventress arc, The Bad Batch, and Boba's return.
***** All of the remaining episodes were written including the intended series finale which would've led directly into Episode III which according to series writer Brent Friedman would've been epic. Unfortunately, the animation team has been broken up. Hopefully, the remaining scripts will be taken and adapted into some medium so we will get to see rest of the Clone Wars.
***** may Just a 3 Episode Cameo for Rebels, in My Opinion There's a Rumor that Actress Lutipa Nyong’o will be playing an Older Ahsoka Tano(Her Species Togruta are a Long Live Race) for the Sequel Trilogy.
The score was absolutely brilliant, emotionally charged, and it tied in perfectly to the sequence of events. Everything crescendos to the final words, and the heart-wrenching cello and the tears ensue. I took the voice acting for granted until I heard it in the context of this one scene. Even though I wasn't into the Ahsoka character throughout the series, she, and her relationship with Anakin really came through. Who would have thought Anakin's otherwise ridiculous transition to the Dark Side, as portrayed in the prequels, could be made that much more believable? Couldn't have asked for a better ending.
I agree that the movies went a little fast with Anakins transition to the dark side but I strongly encourage people who haven’t seen this series to give it a go it just explains a lot more about the stuff that caused him to slowly change (just because in the series it actually took a bit of time and horrible events for him to be fully consumed by the dark side) plus it has more details than the movies that help fill in a lot of gaps that the movies just don’t explain
Glad to know I'm not the only one who took this show and this season finale ending to the heart, the first couple of days were tough, I would go return just to this scene over and over. The music, the Camara angle and the location are so powerful, goes to show almost anything can be made emotional power, giving the right circumstances
this episode didn't end with the usual upbeat credits theme (mostly the very start), but allowed the somber tone to continue onto the credits, this is what we call a product of a good show
+TDItaly98 In Twilight of the Apprentice, it wasnt exactly the same soundtrack as this one, the one from Rebels sounded more ominous. Anyone know where i can find the more ominous track of this music from Rebels?
When Anakin is chasing after her and calling her name is the saddest part in the music for me. Like when you see him running behind her. From 1:01-1:08
I just noticed at 1:57 that Ahsoka is bright while Anakin stands in the dark half of the scene. Ahsoka was one of his connections to the light side and then he lost her, leaving him in darkness
I cried at this part. The music added so much more emotion to an already moving scene. Thank you Kevin Kiner for the beautiful soundtrack. And thank you Ashley Eckstein for the brilliant portrayal and the empathy and power you put into Ahsoka.
I agree and is she didn't leave she would have likely been there to stop him from killing Dooku or at the very least be there to console him when he sends Mace Windu after palpatine, and either of those would of been enough to prevent his fall to the dark side.
Ahsokas theme at the end credit scene is so beautifully haunting especially when you hear it near the end of the series as for the episode it’s so heartbreaking to see Anakin and Ahsoka depart especially when it’s one of the factors that pushed Anakin to the dark side
damn one of the best scenes in TCW... when you look back at the old ahsoka and think you'd cry over her finally being gotten rid of its like.. weird man
