Absolutely love this. It's just what my partner and I needed to hear. We have a little one coming and both keen to spend the first few years of her life before (and if) we decide to plug in to the schooling system in London. We're both seasoned travellers, particularly in Asia, but needed some real world reassurance from trailblazers and feel we have found it here. Thanks for the inspo and maybe see you on the trail. Keep on keeping on. Matty, Jai and Bennie (pending).
Hey. It is a massive difference eh?! And it doesn’t take into account how much happier we are in this lifestyle which you can’t put a price on. We do cover off visas, insurance and transportation around 3mins 30secs in the video when we compare to us taking smaller infrequent holidays in our UK life.
@@meetthearshads362 Oops. Got distracted while typing that. Meant to say does that really include all those things!!! 🤦🏾♂️ Been doing our budget and everything is reasonable until I factor in medical insurance. Did you get that?
@@grantfamilyworldadventures So yes we did factor in travel insurance and we consider that to be an important part of our travels. For a family of 7, it costs us £136 a month (£1,632) for a premium policy. In fact, in the 12 months of travel, we have used it once. Claim value was about £1,000.
@@meetthearshads362 I missed this reply. Thanks. For a global policy, for a family of 7, I guess that's fair enough. Ours is £276 for the 3 of us. Did you add any extra cover? The only thing I didn't add, was winter sports cover. Have you needed to use your GHIC and if so how did you find the experience? Just under 6 weeks to go for us before we set off!!
Who did you go through? Every quite I had was at least double that. We ended up not buying insurance at all. Luckily the only medical problem we had in a year was I needed a tooth extraction in Thailand. It cost about £25.

Love this..I'm about to leave for India and South East Asia 🌏
Good info
Thanks! Glad you found it helpful.
Of course this is dependant on having online work that pays over £3000 a month.
This has been really useful. That's a huge difference in living costs. What about travel costs, travel insurance, medical insurance and visas etc?
