  • helo friends!! this is a spontaneous 'what I eat in a day', and also some journalling prompts for September reflection / October goals!! hopefully in the future (if anyone enjoys this type of video and wants to see more like it) I will have some more well thought out recipes + actually do something more creative than... avocado toast... lol
    reminder that the most important thing at the end of the day is that you're being kind to yourself ! eating nutritious foods will help you feel better, but if you're constantly being negative towards yourself + your body in your mind, no amount of vegetables will make you truly healthy. be good to yourselves ! 🫶🏻

    recipes !!
    ✩ breakfast - 'banana bread baked oats' ✩
    35g oats + 15g protein powder, or 50g oats
    1/2 tsp baking powder
    cinnamon + salt
    1 egg
    1 banana
    smidge of vanilla extract
    my toppings: 25g bluebs + a big spoon of almond butter!
    - bake at 160 celsius for ~ 15 mins (air fryer, oven will take longer!)
    ✩ turmeric ginger shots - makes 6x100ml servings (1/day) ✩
    2 big lemons (remove seeds and rind)
    1 big orange (remove seeds and peel)
    1 big thing of ginger (peeled)
    2 sticks of celery (chopped)
    1tsp turmeric, with sea salt and black pepper
    300-500ml water, depending how thick you want it
    splash of apple cider vinegar (literally dont add this its disgusting and bad for ur teeth)
    - blend + drain twice, freeze the pulp for smoothies, store juice in fridge! (:
    ✩ lunch - avo sourdough toast + crispy eggs ✩
    2 slices sourdough
    1/2 avocado - season with lemon juice, salt, pepper, chilli flakes
    5 tomatoes (plum are best)
    1tsp coconut oil
    2 eggs
    sprinkle of seed mix
    some spicy mayo (or chilli jam, or nothing! do what u want lol)
    ✩ dinner - baked lentils + tamarind-glazed sweet potato ✩
    1 onion (chopped)
    thumb-sized piece of ginger (chopped)
    3 cloves garlic (chopped)
    500g sweet potato (5mm slices, I leave the skin on - wash thoroughly!!)
    10 cardamon pods (remove seeds and crush them)
    1tsp cumin seeds
    1tsp turmeric
    chilli flakes
    2tbsp groundnut oil
    250g red lentils
    400g tin chopped tomatoes
    400g tin coconut milk
    500ml vegetable stock
    3tbsp tamarind paste
    2 limes
    - fry the onions in the oil until brown, add the ginger, garlic, and cumin seeds + fry for a few more mins. add the rest of the spices, lentils, tomatoes, coconut milk, and stock and bring to a simmer. cover with sliced sweet potatoes + tamarind. bake in oven at 180 celsius (fan) for ~30 mins (make sure the potatoes are fully cooked!) serve with fresh lime juice.

    - Reflections on the year so far, what do i hope to achieve by the end of the year?:
    - What goals have I been neglecting (and reasons why)?
    - What am I looking forward to this month?"
    - Things to remember in October (quotes, goals, to-do, manifestations, etc)

    I clicked on this video a little reluctant because What I Eat videos often trigger me, but thank god I did watch this one because it made me feel so much better, and Leah’s advice about eating what your body is asking for is so helpful.

    We (Indians) consume lentils almost daily in our food and when we fry it in oil+cumin seed then we call it daal fry (lentil fry). It is one of our comfort food and your recipes are similarly comforting❤‍🩹

      ahh i love Indian food so much!! i make a really simply daal every week and eat it for dinner most nights.. it has made me love and appreciate cumin seeds so much lol

      Aw 🥹🥹 I think the music helps… usually cooking is very chaotic but I try and make it ~~~~~~calm~~~~~~~
      Though I think when I’m just making recipes I do all the time, it’s not hard to be relaxed hehe

    I'm really sad these days for many reasons and It's harder for me to live a good life. But you cheer me up with the calm tone and relaxing walking in the nature! 💗When you say read something good loudly, I just want to read all of megan's videos! Also, I grow up in China and have a very different diet customs from you, so I'm so interesting and curious that what your breakfast taste and how I feel if I live a life like you.       hello ~~~ glad to have given you some inspiration hehe! do your best & that's okay, little changes make a big difference 😇 for my 1st and 2nd year of uni, I literally survived on takeaways 5+ times a week and Tesco meal deals. my body was probably screaming for help, but I was too stressed to notice lol. now that life has slowed down a bit (and I'm not 18 anymore

      I definitely recommend the breakfast oats!! it tastes just like a single-serving of banana bread 😇🍌🍞 and I bet it would be so good with chocolate chips !!

    This video gave me really good ideas for cooking. Lately I´ve been dealing with problems with food and hormones. And maybe is because of how bad I´ve been eating. So to have some clean recipes that can help me is the best thing.

    I think one of the difficulty of learning Japanese is they have kanji. A kanji word has various meaning and the way called.
    thats why A lot of people learning japanese end up with struggling with kanji.
    However i m glad you want to learn Japanese.
    I want to see you speaking something Japanese in your vid someday.
