Hey guys lovely video. Just to clarify the plants you stumbled across in the paddock are part of a legal hemp planting 'trial' owned by the author Gillian Sullivan. Thank you for highlighting how dirty and degraded the water in the Ida Burn creek was and is. It's actually an effect of farm fertiliser leaching and also some didymo. It's important that people see the reality of water quality in New Zealand. I hope you enjoyed your night in lovely Oturehua.

Awh Thank you Vivian for your comment and the clarification 😁 and definitely agree that people need to see the reality of water quality here, the good and the bad. It was a lovely night in Oturehua 💗

Nice video. Since its a one direction trip, how did you manage your car that you left in Clyde?

The company that we used to rent the bikes had a van transfer at the end of the trail back to the cars :)

Ah nice! Am looking to do this in December (i see from the videos it was sweltering hot during height of summer so hopefully it will be okay then 😊)

Wasn't there sandflies in the bush areas?

No sandflies here. They’re closer to the coast and further south.
