God encourages all of us to finish strong, no matter what the race is that we are running. When we look at Moses’ final speech to the Israelites, we see how God helped him convey the call to be strong and courageous, no matter what the difficulties the future held for them would be. God was setting the Israelites up to receive the long awaited Promise Land. And just like the Israelites, when God calls us and we move from one season of life to the next, we can become disillusioned by the problems we find in those promises from God. We need to understand that not everything will get better just because we are moving on from a hard season.
