Bonjour Sara and Steve, before I comment any farther, is that Lassie's Timmy at the well, everybody who attended was absolutely lovely. I just love your workshops, what amazing writers, I love to read, and I will definitely check them out. Your gift of the Renaissance platter, just gorgeous. Your friends know you well. Thank you for sharing this episode, I loved it. Love from N.Y.

Fun episode. I thought it would have also been fun to have the writers (and yourselves) each take an hour to pen a short story about the Well possibly who gathered it and perhaps how the mysterious chain ended up at the bottom etc. and then read them aloud to each other.

Hello Steve and Sarah , If German troops tossed anything down there it could also be stuck in the mud after so long. One always digs a lot of trash for every treasure .. the folks from Nebraska . We had a wonderful time at your chateau !

Loved hearing about the writers and their books. Lovely buys locally, but would have liked a close up of the first buy (the pink flowered boxes) and also the 'fish' platter. Great workshop and vlog. Thanks again.

Always successful retreats, with so much to do. Lots of talent in one group. I studied children's literature those books would have been great for my studies. Of course I loved that framed fashion images. It was kind of cool to find the bucket chain. I wonder how old it was and if it was hand forged. Have a great rest of the week :)

l just love your Wooden stencil.Cut outs on your doors. Have you heard of the Swiss cut out paper technique called Sherenscnitte. ( l am sure l spelt that incorrectly.). You can find beautiful historical pictures…l use them to make embroideries, where you do them in a dark colour and the linen shows through. I bought a small 10 cm cut out paper picture in Zurich and the cost was 150 euro’s!!! Thats why l do embroderies of them 😄

I think that's cool finding the chain! Is it hand forged? Could be old. "Gibson Girls" was late 1890's might help you distinguish: wide, full, puffy sleeve and tiny waist; no wonder women embraced the '20's with no corsets, lol

Sarah, it’s not surprising that you got the date on the Marquette’s off, because the 1890’s sleeves were a revival of the 1830’s sleeves. Good guess!!! ♥️
