I am so pleased to hear Serenade, the orchestration of one of my favorite bagatelles by Silvestrov.
His music is so unique today that he offers something human-sized, something to take home and keep close to heart and cherish. I feel that this is beyond having grand works that point to universal. What he offers is a kind of a personalized mystery. His music has been helping me so much lately.

Это исполнение мне намного ближе, чем на существующем диске. Причём пианист и там и там тот же. Так что всё дело в дирижёре и в оркестре.
Здесь они куда лучше понимают КАК надо исполнять музыку В.В. Сильвестрова Браво.
This performance is much closer to me than on the existing disc. Moreover, the pianist is the same here and there. So it's all about the conductor and the orchestra.
Here they understand much better HOW to perform the music of Silvestrov . Bravo.

Beautiful! I wish I had learned about Silvestrov under different circumstances. Just yesterday I heard his Prayer for Ukraine from the Metropolitan Opera in New York and the Orquestra Sinfônica do Estado de São Paulo in Brazil.
