Lot of people think the pretty white bloom along the back roads in Feb and March is Dogwood. Wrong. FYI That is usually wild plum. Dogwood don’t bloom in North Mississippi until late May and early April with normal weather conditions. Butter cup and Plum get us excited prematurely in Feb and March. But when folks start sitting on the ground bank fishing then the crappie are spawning.
