Do you think that being made an authorized user on a spouse’s Chase card within the last month counts towards the 1/30 or 2/30 rule?

Question: @ 7:40 you mention that store cards do not count towards 5/24 if they are only able to be used @ the store they are good for. I have 2 such cards, one for Lowe's and one for PC Richard yet on Reddit and other credit forums I am being told they do count towards 5/24 - can you confirm?

Hey so I was basing that on my personal experience and blogs like Doctor of Credit, Million Mike Secrets, etc. it’s possible things have changed or are YMMV. If you have a counter data point feel free to let me know!

Some data points... At least in my area, you don't need significant assets or spend with Chase to submit a paper application through the BRM. Doing it that way, you also get to request your own credit limit. 2nd, from phone reps...to credit supervisors...all the way up to the Executive Office...Chase says *NO ONE* in the *HISTORY* of the company has ever been allowed to bypass the 5/24 rule. That is of course pure nonsense. Absurd. They say all of the data points on the Internet are "outright lies." I tried to get them to honor a "black star" offer. They said they know of "no such program or offer." So they play a ton of games on that front. If you hit any sort of bump in the road, don't count on Chase to honor any offer/promo just because a 3rd party source says it will work. I emailed, called, and appealed so many times, that they finally just completely ignored me.
