The part about marking is a little misleading. A mark is any catch made from a kick (anywhere over 15 metres). It's not just when they ride on the oppositions back to take a mark (that's called a 'speccy' or 'screamer')
Australian Rules Football is Australia's biggest sport. Rugby doesn't get anywhere near the popularity as AFL does.
Who here is from australia
Bouncing the ball on the run is an advanced skill. Most kids take years to get to a point where they will actually use the bounce in a game. As a substitute to the bounce, a player can lean down and touch the ball on the ground while still holding onto it, this counts as bouncing the ball and gives you another 16 yards (15 meters) to work with before you need to dispose of the ball or bounce the ball again. If you run too far without bouncing the ball, the umpire will pay a free kick against that player.
"So everyone is a kicker" Well...if you had a position that was allowed to kick and they never kicked, that would be a waste of space. Otherwise known as most NRL players.

Ya boy knows a little more about the game now! Time for some more AFL Reactions!
Just a bit of history, the game has been around for over 150yrs and the MCG is the oldest stadium in Australia, but has been rebuilt in sections, with underground car parks added, lots of bars and public amenities.
"What is the best football team?"
Essendon Bombers- 16 premierships
Currently, 2019 now early 2020, the Top Team (The Team that won the 2019 Premiership) is the Richmond Tigers, situated in Melbourne VICTORIA. Their Team Membership (those who have Game Day membership to turn up at the Ground) exceeds 100, 000 and that doesn't include those watching on TV which is both Free to Air, & Subscription.
In pre-season matches, they have what's called a super goal - a goal kicked from outside the 50-meter arc that is worth nine points instead of six. It has never been used in the regular season.
This is superb to watch as an Aussie. I've always wondered how difficult it'd be to understand from the beginning.
The record attendance is 121,696 people for the 1970 Grand Final, there's more seating and less standing room now so capacity has fallen to around 100,000. Collingwood pulls the biggest crowds and has been involved in the top 5 highest attendances of all time and regularly brings a million people through the turnstiles each year, their average attendance per game is a little over 80,000
