  • Hey guys it’s Jas! Here is an update on my commonplace notebook in 2024. The system I started using last year has been working well for me, but I’ve changed the format a bit to suit my needs better.

    I began to commonplace because of you. I watched a lot of videos about the topic but found them hard to follow. Your system is clean and straightforward.

    This is the absolute best video on keeping a commonplace notebook. I love how you do your notes and the table of contents.

    Wow I’m so impressed. I’m thinking of doing something similar now for my medical journals I read and expeditions I read about.

    Hello! I love this video! It was so relaxing to listen to. I would also love to hear a review on papers, I’ve started my own creative writing notebook (that I also doodle in) and have been struggling a bit with the Tomoe papers. The feel of the paper is still amazing but the bleed 😢I can’t wait to watch anything else you put out! ❤

      The reviews I read about the new TRP downplayed the bleeding. I think people were just in denial, hoping it was better. Thank you for watching 😊

    so glad to see another video from you. You are probably aware already, but thought I would mention that Sterling Ink has TR gridded A5 loose paper. Its a little pricey once you convert to AUD however.

      Thanks for letting me know! The dotted or gridded fp paper here is always out of stock so I might have to look elsewhere.

    i switched back into my old filofax for this year as well, but i've been struggling with the paper and i think you just solved my problem. i ended up getting a hobonichi notebook in a5 and unbinding it so i get the grid i'm accustomed to, but the ink i've been using the most actually bleeds through it. it's pilot iroshizuku take-sumi. i guess i need to go through my stash for a dry ink. 😅

      Glad I could help :) you can also try using a finer nib to control how much ink comes out.

    I have my year old commonplace almost the same as you, EXCEPT the colour coded labels and the super smart index w those same colours before the title.
    I'm gonna try to implement it in the book I still have, but otherwise it's DEF. going into my next one
    Thanks luv

    Love it! You’ve inspired me to start recording all I learn about aviation & flying to calm my fear of it. Do you rewrite the articles or are they your notes on the articles?

    • @Jazzlypuff
      @Jazzlypuff  4 місяці тому +1

      That sounds awesome! It’s definitely fascinating and reassuring to know how seriously the aviation industry takes health and safety.
      For aviation, I copy the article exactly to have the correct info and then make my notes in the margin. Some articles are my own notes. It depends on the info.

    Love your video! Do you hole punch your own papers ? Which paper have you preferred?

    • @Jazzlypuff
      @Jazzlypuff  3 місяці тому +2

      Thanks! I do hole punch the paper myself. I forgot to add a link in the description so I’ve just updated it. I’ve always loved tomoe river paper because of how crinkly the paper is 😅 but the quality is not as good anymore and I’m still looking for a good replacement.

    What is the meaning of the orange dot connected to the personal project dot on the first page?

    • @Jazzlypuff
      @Jazzlypuff  4 місяці тому

      The orange sticker was from an old sticker sheet that I used. I switched to the Stalogy stickers for the 5mm size and nicer colours :)
