Saw it with my family while we were staying at Disney World just after Christmas 2004, and of course it was such a magical and festive experience to see them in the holiday version of the show.
+My Disney Park Memories Of course, this is but one of my many favorite memories of our stay at the park that holiday season. It was so magical and felt awesome with being there at that time especially given as great as the show was with the park's Christmas celebration then still in full swing, and my ten year old self along with my little brother really enjoyed that rocking holiday themed country music and everything being as big of a country music fan as i am. Good memories indeed!!! I'm glad that i got to see this version of the show before it was discontinued not long after given that the overlays added a little more beyond the standard attraction the rest of the year. I just wish i could've seen the Vacation iteration of it.
@@mydisneyparkmemories1427 Yea, It is still such a good classic, All they need to do is just modernize it more to make them look more realistic And boom probably gonna get more attention And change it up each time, Ad least 5 different show tracks that way every person won't see the same thing usually
I love this version! It’s honestly a lovely watch. I love the personality of the characters and the spirit the songs carry with them. I especially love the rendition of Jingle Bells and honestly all of them.
tokyo disneyland started using this overlay for their country bear jamboree show again last month. the show is the same as this show, except instead of "it's beginning to look a lot like christmas," henry sings "jingle bells" at the beginning of the show, with buff, max and melvin singing along in the 2nd half of the song trixie's outfit looks like her normal outfit, with a pink tutu and she holds a martini glass in her right hand. the song she sings is a melancholy version of "have yourself a merry little christmas" in english trixie doesn't ask henry to try her mistletoe since she doesn't hold it in this show. instead, henry just says something before the bear rugs appear to play "deck the halls" liverlips' song is in english terrence's song is the same (but in japanese), but just before he performs, the penguin next to him, who i believe is named webster, talks with him since he isn't frozen. he also says some things throughout the song, but he doesn't sing with terrence the song by bunny, bubbles and beulah is in english teddi barra's song is in english big al's outfit is different; he wears a pink shirt. his song appears to be in english, but i don't know its name. all i can say is i believe it has to do with celebrating the end of the year instead of "let it snow," henry, sammy and the sun bonnets sing "santa claus is coming to town," with the last three appearing halfway through the song although max still sings "rudolph the red-nosed reindeer," the whole song is played, with henry and sammy singing the part where santa comes to tell rudolph to guide his sleigh "winter wonderland" is in english big al isn't heard after wendell shoots out another light the ending of the show is different, with buff and melvin talking with henry briefly
12:43 when i first learned big al wears a diaper in this overlay, i thought it was because he is unable to use the bathroom normally (which is funny), but i fairly recently found out he is supposed to look like baby new year, someone i never heard of
Thanks Carol, It was a great change for the Holidays, and this is why I filmed as much as possible through the years due to Disney discontinuing shows and attractions. I can't tell you what I think Disney does what it does, but you probably know$$. Thanks for commenting & watching.
After vacation hoedown ended and the original came back the show was not very well taken care off, but this could also be from frequent changing out of shows
@@SlushysSecret i believe they kept the christmas special and vacation hoedown version of each bear, so all they had to do is disconnect the wiring and/or hydraulic valves of one animatronic and then reconnect those connections when they transport the other one to the theater
I thought most of the animatronics for this show were dismantled and re-purposed for other things like Oogie Boogie. As WDW keeps their CBJ I'll be happy. BTW, I'm glad that they only show the classic show now. This version is annoying. The original uses real country musicians where as this sounds like Hee Haw Imitators. Why they didn't use Grandpa Jones, George Jones, Johnny Cash, Loretta Lynn and Willie Nelson to do the new version in the 80/90s if just dumb. This Christmas show does not even feature the "famous" Country Christmas songs (Elvis Blue Christmas). The Tex Ritter "Christmas Carols By The Old Corral" should have been used for Big AL.
Hungry as a bear is so underestimated! I have it on vinyl record with the splash mountain soundtrack !!!
Nice to know its included. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Thanks for watching. I appreciate your comment.
2005 was the year I had my first trip to Disneyworld and I did see this show during my trip.
Glad you made it to the Christmas Special before they stopped having it each year. Thanks for watching and commenting.
I love the Christmas version! Tracks in the Snow is a masterpiece! I really wish they had brought this back. I never got to see it in person
@@ManAndDogFan Great to hear that. Thanks for watching and commenting.
i wish they still did this :(

wow, do I ever miss those guys at Christmas time :( thanks for the memories!!! :)

Thanks for uploading. I went to see the Country Bears every day while i was down there. You make the best videos too.^^
Thank you for the kind words. 🙂
I love this show. Its entertaining and great place to duck out when its super hot! LOL
AlphaTraveler1 Yes, Disney has places to cool down before and during shows. Also shelter during thunder storms. Thanks for subscribing.

I'll never understand why those chuckleheads won't do this anymore @ Walt Disney World during Christmastime
Agreed. Thanks for watching and commenting.
It’s never coming back because of a certain retheme going on right now
it's even less likely they will now because the show has been turned into country bear musical jamboree
I wasn’t alive when this happened but I wish they’d bring it back! ...unfair.. haha
The Theme Park Kid Wish they would too. That's why I filmed everything I could for the past 20 years. That's Disney.
Rumor has it from a reliable source from WDWMagic (Martin), that it could be coming back.
Don't feel bad. I wasn't alive until Disney World was 4 years old.
It never stopped me. Don't let it stop you.
