    The turbidity limits are 1 TU (acceptable limit) and 5 TU (Tolerable limit) [[not 10 TU] as per IS 10500:2012

      turbidity permissible limit 5 -10 ppm and as per GOI 1 ppm acceptable and 10 ppm cause of rejection

    1TCU is equivalent to colour produced by 1mg of platinum cobalt in 1lit. Of distilled water . TCU is also called hazen unit.
