That fawn was so cute. They instinctively know too be still & quiet until mom comes back . Mom will lead perspective predators away from Bambi❤
Also, they sound like a newborn baby when they cry

Beautiful. My wife is from Montana and I am from Oregon. This is the kind of country we are used to seeing. I love your videos, but I always feel like a stranger in th edesert.

I’m glad I got into some familiar territory for you! Montana was an amazing change from the desert

I had a place on the east fork of the bitterroot fiver for 15 years. I first saw the valley in 1972 when I was about your age. Lots more people and houses now, but still so beautiful. Try the east fork above Sula MT. For lots of wildlife! Many bighorns, bears, coyotes, rattlers, moose.. best time is the first two weeks of July or the last week of sept. Elk season is gross. Pass on that!

@@TopoTravelers the east fork valley ends in the anaconda-pintlar wilderness. I think you’d really like it. Love your unpretentious videos😁

What a beautiful place to just walk and explore! I hope nothing ever changes in places like this...and a perfect place to just ponder anything! When you were on the overlook area I could hear something in the background, was it water rushing or a highway going through somewhere out there? It really sounded like traffic in the distance. Great job man!

Nope that was the sound of a distant river at the bottom of the valley! No roads anywhere near. I sure did do a lot of pondering

@@TopoTravelers Very cool....the sound of the river in the silence is pretty loud then

Do you go climbing around these mountains by yourself? It appears that you do so I hope that you tell somebody where you’re at and stay in touch with them.

Sometimes yes. I always have my garmin in reach on me so I can contact anyone, even out of service
