@@erickoch9045 Chisholm would be a clear upgrade over Torres. Bellinger is a huge upgrade over Verdugo. I know Bellinger can play 1B, but I’d rather Christian Walker instead. Are they going to put Peraza at 3B? Who knows. I like what the Yanks are doing. Fried and Williams are very good pick ups.
Look, I think a major obstacle in our quest to win a ring is Aaron Boone as manager. He can't manage. Left Judge in the 3 hole while he was struggling in the playoffs to the point that they intentionally walked Soto to get to him and he almost always made an out and Boone left Austin Wells at cleanup even though he was struggling. If Steinbrenner were alive Boone and Cashman would've been fired years ago
Cody Bellinger , would really be a tremendous addition and would really benefit in every aspect defensively and great batting hitting and that short right field porch.
Luis Arraez is the poster child for the foolishness of using batting average as a primary metric for measuring overall hitting effectiveness. He’s an extremely limited one tool player. No power, no speed, no arm, no glove. No thanks.
The twins are actively looking to offload contracts, now that Tigers and Royals are on the upswing. Byron Buxton would be interesting. His base contract is pretty cheap compared to what he brings and he's 31 Y/O. Yes he's a constant injury guy. But if you look at his stat page, he racks up WAR even in the short seasons. When he plays he's an MVP caliber player and gives it his all (why he's often injured). His contract can balloon if he manages to play a relatively full seasons (but at that point you are making that money back) I would only do this if we can land Bellinger. Buxton is a wildcard, but if healthy could easily out perform any other player in the game.
Houston I heard was asking for way more from the yankees than they were the cubs. Why move Gil & another player or players for Tucker when we can keep Gil with 5 years control and go after tucker when he test the market. I'm glad we Said no to trading Gil.
let's go get Bellinger and Santander perfect fits for the team both can hit lefties. Santander is a switch hitter he can bring some much needed power left from Soto.
I liked the idea of Cristian Walker, but then learned about the lost IFA money could cost our best IFA prospect. Goldschmidt’s numbers don’t look much worse, so I’d lean towards him if we could get him on a one year deal.
I hope judge finds a mentor to level up one more time (maybe Stanton). I mean, i wouldn't crash my car and say " that's driving" or "i feel like my reflexes were really close to not colliding with that other vehicle there". I know they say never to press because it's counterproductive, but pressing gets a bad wrap because it yields short term failure with the tradeoff of gaining broader perspective in stressful times such as the playoffs. Make friends with stress mr Judge, stop ignoring it because it will be there every game come playoff time.
If the Yankees can pull Off bellinger and hoerner trade and sign Bregman. Why not put jazz back in center where he played with Miami before trade. Thoughts?
we have some in house options for 2B if Jazz stays at 3B Cash said he's comfortable in that option. like DJ, Peraza, Cabrera straight up i would have done Gil for Tucker and then sign Buehler, Flaherty or Manaea to replace him.
I’m not interested in trading our rookie of the year. If the goal is to keep players with control who are emerging stars then it doesn’t make sense to trade him now. Let’s not over react.
@@PinstripeTerritoryI understand but today when the news broke out about Tucker it just felt like another gut punch. And to be honest out of all the FA bats out there the only one that makes sense a little (not much) is Bregman but he is going to ask for a lot of money 😥

You have to bring back Hill as they need a lefty. Thought Cortes was going to be that guy but obviously not now.

I wonder if the Cubs trading for and landing Tucker now means that they are going to try and compete and that means taking Bellinger off the market.
I want players that are clutch!!! Also, I’m not too concerned about home runs. To balance out the offense you need to be able to manufacture runs.
