Thanks Steve :-) Towpath has been pretty busy with fishermen, walkers, joggers and cyclists etc.... Never mind, it's nice and cool in the boat with side hatch and bow doors open, a nice breeze blows through and keeps it comfortable so I can hide away inside haha. Take care, Mark
Hi Mark, really good advice, but do you know if there is a website when I can search if the boat is stolen, their history and so on? I mean, how can they prove that that boat is 100% legal? Thanks in advance for your comment.
Hi Diego thanks for watching. Good questions, I asked the same when buying the boat myself. In short, there is no proof of ownership, no directory so to speak to check of reports on the boats that I know of. You can search the CRT website for the boat registration number and it will come back with some basic information such as name, builder, year and length etc... Not sure if it would show up if it had been reported stolen though...
Ours was around £650, but don’t forget that on top of that you’ll very probably have to pay £200 / £250 as a slippage fee, to have the boat lifted from the water., so it's best to budget for around £1,000 in total 🍷🍷
Thankyou for your useful info, I'm going to buy a small narrowboat to cruise the canal system. Very informative.
Greetings, I do have the interest in NBs but not practical here in America. Just thrilled to see the process....Cheers , Best Regards
Really informative vlog. I've watched all of your vlogs up to this point and looking forward to watching more over the weeks and months.
Ah that's excellent Matthew thank you so much! Appreciate you watching and especially taking the time to comment :-) Take care, Mark
Hi Mark, sounds like a pretty thorough “thinking list” to me....😊 Hope the towpath is not too busy over the sunny bank holiday....🍷🍷

HI,very clear vlog - thanks! Its probably a silly question - but how much is a survey roughly? Thanks. Be safe and be well.

Hi Sean thanks for watching. It can be pretty pricey as Steve says if you allow £1000 that should cover it :-)
@@stevehoare6378 Thanks Steve.
No worries, depending on the location, I can put you in touch with the surveyor who was and has continued to be extremely helpful.. 🍷🍷
Why do people buy boats that are 150-200K? Wouldn't a House be better spent with thay money?
