If anything regards continuing UA-cam that I'm saying in this video doesn't make sense, this is recorded in October 16th, 2022. Way before I created this - New Enlisted channel.
i love how bro completely forgot about his GF as soon as the camera got inside the tank
Is-2 is now his GF
GF more than likely forgot about him as well
Lmao. Bro, in the southern US, this thing would be the most massive wasp nest. We don't often have abandoned tanks out here, but any abandoned piece of heavy machinery gets infested with wasps or something.
it hurts me to see ww2 tanks out side and not under cover we must save them.
Yes your right bc there people damaging it
Not as roomy as I'd imagined, but still spacious compared to t-34. thanks!
If u told me that was a kv-85 i wouldn’t even notice
Yeah, it's big. But I think a King Tiger is bigger. I stood beside one at the Panzertruppenschule at Muster Lager. I was 1.88 meters tall, and I couldn't see up onto the deck. Where was this filmed?? Its a real pity that the artefacts are not maintained or at least cleaned once in a while. BTW, Soviet tank crews were limited in height because of the cramped interior. I seem to recollect that they had to be under 5' 6".
This is in Latvia, a privet collection of an older chap. This is the only one I believe that is rotting away like this, rest of them are in pretty mint condition :)
it's sad they dismantled optics. i like to see frames with optic vision. would be even more excited to see what did they put into this IS-2M. 122mm rocks
Awesome Video!
Tee Hee👍👍👍
Is-2m
To be honest, it's not really an IS-2, but an IS-2M. This can be seen in the boxes on the sides, mudguards and some other little things.
I had a suspicion
I had a suspicion
Ooh i was wondering : Why does NOT look like IS-2 i know. It is actualy IS-2M ! That one is from 50's ! You dont see those too much.
Fair do, i wouldn't like to have to push start an IS2 on a cold morning when the battery is flat lol.😮
That was fun, props to your GF for her filming skills and for your enthusiastic presentation!
I bet that thing still works because its russian lol :D
can u tell where it is located?
Location is tagged under the video :)
omg you are latvian!
kinda sad noone cares about them they look like they need a new paint job and well reabilitated
btw should try and visit the russian museum where the MAUS is located
This is the worst (as far as I know) - in other videos (members exclusive) there are much better examples too in My country :)
This video speaks to me. Time to play some BR5 Soviets
enlisted or war thunder?
@@wildewaldbewohner4068 I play enlisted
I think this is a IS-2 model 1944 which was modernized in the 1950's into the IS-2M. These were one of the most reliable heavy tanks that they made and as such these were keeped in service until the early 1980's. After that these tanks remained in reserve quite a short time, because in 1995 the Russians removed them from reserve and turned some of them into museum pieces, military memorials, but sadly most of then were turned into scrap metal.
Interestingly the South Ossetian Army still had some IS-2's in service until 1995 and it's possible that in North Korea there are still some of them in reserve.
All I want in life is a cute girl to surprise me with tanks.
it feels illegal wacthing the thing there just rusting
sad to see these rusting away, not a whole lot of IS-2M's around anymore
Wait that’s more than -3 degrees of elevation
Least cramped soviet tank
'Tanks in the park' is obviously a great concept
Very nice. Is this from the old channel?
Yep. :)
So cool man
What gems.
T 34 85 with ridiculous small barrel caliber.
Bro wtf that is the largest production T34 caliber
would you like to take a 3 inch round?
Is there no turret basket in the IS2? I couldn't see one but it may have been removed for some reason, i love the escape hatch in the floor thats a good idea, unless you drove over an anti tank mine then it might not be so clever.
There was no basket on this one
Is2 does not have turret busket, ww2 Soviet tanks such as is and t34 does not have turret basket for some reason.
You needed the quick boarding perk my man. Great vid I’ve never seen one in real life but would like to visit the tank museum in bovington uk I’m sure they will have one.
Jūs esat latvieši?
Jup.
where is this place?
Kurzeme, Latvia - KURZEMES CIETOKŠŅA MUZEJS
where was IS-2 was seen in service tho?
Nearly every battle in the later stages of the war like the battle of berlin and the many battles that it took to “liberate” much of eastern europe
