The small circuit board that needs to be transferred is the S-pen digitizer interface. If you loosen the ribbon cable on 2 sides during disassembly, you must ensure that you assemble it correctly. The thin ribbon cable also fits when mounted upside down. Everything then works except the S-pen function. A good screen, well packaged and delivered quickly for a good price.
In the lower left corner at the 13:51 mark in the video, you will notice 4 silver metal pieces shaped in a square. Just below those for you can see a slim magnet that sits inside the frame body and I'm assuming makes contact with the underside of the screen when it's in place properly. thx for any help
hia mate, ive followed everything, and the screen worked for a while, then started going...i checked the 'MAIN' to 'LCD' ribbon and i think the copper points have cracked (if i had an email address i'd show you some macro shots i took) i'm sure this is the culprit...any idea as to where i can get a spare from?
Can I ask what is the tool you use on top when going around the edges with a flat tool please. And where can I order me a samsung s7 se screen from please for my tablet 😊 it's the same as the one your fixing in this video. I dropped it and it's cracked right across the screen🙄would mine be glass or lcd it feels plastic
@@TechRobot360 LOL THAT DOESN'T TELL ME MUCH? ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT THE TAPE OR GLUE? AND THE MANUFACTURER WOULD BE HELPFUL? THAT NUMBER MEANS NOTHING? (SORRY MY CAPS LOCK IS STUCK)
ty for the video! it was helpful. I was wondering if anyone knows anything about two tiny magnets around the edge of the frame. I changed my screen and I can't locate one of them. Does anyone know the use of the magnets? The install went fine, but i can't get the tablet to power up and was thinking the magnets might be the culprit.
did you have any luck getting your screen fixed? I can't get the screen to come on. It sounds like it powers up, ( I can hear the notification chime when I plug in the power) but I get nothing on the new display. I don't know if I damaged a cable taking it apart or what?
did you have any luck finding a replacement? I replaced the screen and nothing happens. I know the tablet is on so it's either a cable , the board or a bad screen. I just don't know where to start
anybody done this repair that might have some advice? I replaced the screen. Everything seemed smooth but the screen doesn't come on at all. If I plug the power cord in i can hear the notification that it's plugged in. I'd imagine it's something with the screen but I have no idea where to trouble shoot. Perhaps a cable got damaged but I was pretty careful. I've double checked all the connections physically.

I forgot to remove the cable from old screen to new screen. Unfortunately, the old screen was tossed. Any idea or part number for that cable? Thanks
Plugging in a new cable will fix it
But, what cable is it though? Watching the video, it appears to be a small yellow looking cable.
It’s at the 5:24 mark in the video….thats what got left on the old screen and it got tossed. I need that….

no luck. I think maybe I damaged the main lcd ribbon cable. @@gamerboy9393
