Agreed, it's not placebo. Ride height, diffuser and body width really do make a difference. Tried and tested with a few problem cars that kept kicking out at the rear
Hollyshit this car is fast I have this for a class as well with the a class build for it. I applied this same style handling for the a class version and it just handles even better than it did before.
Just watched the video about how the body kits don’t change anything and it kinda made sense to me that was the case because every time I make a car from your channel I leave the style completely stock until it wins the money it took to build back that way it’s earned it’s aftermarket body kit lol
There’s a B class event with a mandatory jump that my R34 Skyline (your build) used to bottom out on. The car height was slammed. I raised it and haven’t had that issue again.
Yo bare knowledge fam mans can't wait to nice a one two foreign tonight! Diffrently tho I'm grateflu styll you and the squad god's plan my styll. Respects to the man dem Duddlers he put man dem on stylll!!
Great content! 👍 you cleared up alot of questions I have had. Pretty crazy the adjustments with the style doesn't effect the performance points. Keep up the great work I'll be checking in regularly!
In NFS games, only performance upgrades affect the handling behaviour and the power of the cars. It's exactly the same case for the car weight which affects the power to weight ratio value and also the layout types which are either FWD, RWD, AWD and 4WD. Apart from the spoiler/wing at the back, the visual customisation parts does not affect the behaviour and power of the vehicle in question since it's only cosmetic. On the other hand, everything that was said in the video can be applied to real cars. For example, Racecars are wider, lower, have more camber, have wider tyres with track wideners combined with widebody kits which can increase the grip and the track width. They're also lighter and more powerful which will results in a better power to weight ratio value. The splitters/canards in the front, the diffusers/spoilers/wings in the back makes them very aerodynamic since it allows racecars to go very fast in a straight line and also a better handling in corners.
I appreciate your comment and the very detailed explanation for real race cars. However, you are incorrect about the body kits affecting handling (Turning). At no point do I say this will affect power so you might have misunderstood me. We are working on a video to show how the width of the tire stance affects the turning radius. It definitely changes how the cars turn and handle in corners. AND to be very clear, you say "apart from the spoiler/wing at the back, the visual customisation parts does not affect the behavior...". That implies the wing does something, in actuality in game we have found the wing does nothing. Wide body (stance), ride height, and other things DO factor into how the car handles.
@@alexcornnut What i have said first aren't incorrect infos. About the spoiler/wing, it's true since it does something. It's exactly the same case for any other NFS games which lets you install a rear spoiler/wing on the cars since it will affect the downforce value. In the pause menu of NFS Unbound, there's a downforce slider which affects your max speed. An higher downforce equals better cornering/grip while a lower downforce increases the max speed. The widebody only affects the car collision (i didn't talk about the handling), the ride height/stance/camber and all the visual customization parts (except the rear wing) does not affect the handling behavior of any cars since they are are only cosmetic hence the name Visual Customization. It's only the performance parts from the performance menu which will change your car behavior and how it turns on corners. It's the same case for the handling slider from the pause menu along with the other options like the drift entry, brake 2 drift, downforce and traction control. To simplify, it's how the game itself was designed. But 1 of the exceptions is NFS Pro Street. In NFS Pro Street, all the performance parts, the widebody kit options and the spoilers/wings will have an impact on the car behavior since there's a windtunnel. Thereafter, all the performance datas are taken into account in order to rate the Horsepower of your cars. That's the reason why some cars are performing better in 1, 2 or all the classes.
Test the Porsche that’s the first one you unlock for b tier races, I only widebody’d the back a few days ago and after every turn it looses so much speed, I believe everything you said. Just make sure the car is equally wide and it won’t fuck everything up.
In my A class R34 video, I put in all the proof needed to see if DOES make a difference. Most people don't watch all of the video so many people missed it.
@@alexcornnut great work! So if the body parts make the difference. That means different spoilers or having none will also make a difference just like IRL right? I assume the answer is yes but I just want confirmation.
@@alexcornnut hmm are u sure? I thought adding extra weight on the car would have some difference especially when it comes to acceleration. I know the RSR have a pretty huge spoiler and I thought maybe the weight or the height of the car will have some kind of impact in term of balance? Especially when you mentioned the width of the car will have some difference in the game and how the car will behave in the corner. Maybe 1 of your expert can test it out? Would be interesting to see if that will have any effect on the car.
The only values in the game that carry a weight stat is the car body itself. Changing parts does not edit the weight of the vehicle, changing the engine does not change the weight of the vehicle. Other than the slider that adjusts downforce in the performance portion of the tuning section we have not found any other parts in the game that add a value for downforce. In our testing we have not found that adding a spoiler to the car changes any value other than potentially making the hitbox larger.

The spoiler helps keep the back wheels on the ground when you are going over bumps. This can allow you proper traction when turning after a bump. If your car has to much stability on the rack end I would get rid of the bumper and the thing under the bumper first.
