My God!!! your points are absolutely beautiful. you make this method look so easy. every single time I try this method, I always end up with major step fractures. I'm not quitting though. I'll figure it out. Really really enjoy your videos. keep em coming.

Sir, I hope you know that wasn't me making such a remark. I truly enjoy your flintknapping videos.

Yes, I know it wasn't you. And it looks like the chuckle-head deleted his remark. :-)

I did the same methods of you with some of my local raw English flint (which doesn't need heat treating) and I made the point just like yours and snapped it when doing the last notch. absolutely heartbroken

Ouch. Yeah, breaking the point at the very end is gut wrenching.

JackCrafty thanks for understanding. any tips in using indirect for notching?

Indirect notching is like trying to move a large refrigerator through the front door by yourself without causing any dings.

Why did you stop talking in your videos? I learned more when you explained what was going on even when you made a mistake. When you tell what you are trying to do and something goes wrong I can learn from it because, I know what you were trying to accomplish. Thanks for the videos. You are amazing in how you work the rock. I wish I could do what you can do.
