I travelled 6 hours to go to a rave / event / party / festival by myself at Studio 338 in London, UK for Hospitality ft Fred V and Grafix and met many guys and girls. Drum and Bass, DNB, everything in between and a mental pirate studio after party.

Respect for doing this bro. I'm 33, all my friends have families and I went out for the first time ever by myself last weekend. Felt strange at first but then weirdly liberating. Forces you to have conversations.

@@09williamsr i've done it, had such a good time, i was already tispy and was dressed up in a teletubbie suit and it didn't take long for people to talk to me about my suit. had one of the best nights of my life for sure

i'm 48 saturday and all my friends are starting to die off!! I'll be off clubbing on my todd as well.
Drum and bass is one of those genres where you can really go by your own to a rave, I don't know but the energy is always on point and the people are always open to each other.

@@bawseeeee602 fr lmao, any event where a lot of people are rolling, be it dnb, techno, dubstep, it's super easy to go alone and make friends bc the vibes are always impeccable.
As a german raver, living between Cologne and Dusseldorf (20 minute drive each) I used to do that on a regular basis, if none of the 20 or so bass-addicts in my circle of friends were interested in a particular rave. Or if I wanted to get to know new people without having an intimidating amount of people surrounding me, I'd just get a beer with some friends at home before heading towards the rave solo.
Cologne has the most wholesome scene I ever had the joy of celebrating with. If you lose your wallet or are in need of a refreshment (always hydrate when dancing!) there will at least be one person happy to help you.

You inspired me to go to a event in a club on my own. It actually was a German techno rave and I had a really great time. Unfortunately it was pretty difficult to connect with other people there because everybody is kinda dancing on their own and not in groups. I'd love to see you going to a German Techno event too and maybe you're gonna be able to connect with some people. Maybe I was just unlucky with that. But anyways it was a great experience and the energy I got there was amazing.

Glad you are getting out there and having fun mate. I spent a whole summer solo travelling Europe West to East and it was one of the best decisions of my life. Forced me to get out there and strike up convos wherever I went. Going to clubs alone was one of the highlights bc EVERY SINGLE NIGHT I did I ended up having a crazy ass time and usually met a girl as well! I still talk to some of the people I met to this day.

I broke up with a girl I met whilst living at university. She moved out of the flat we had together and all of my friends left. I was isolated for months on my own at university and seeing people going out, having fun. I one day thought f this. I got ready went to the shops, pre drinks with myself to get marginally drunk. Then went out on my own. At first it was so daunting and I felt awkward. I met so many people and made so many friends. I ended up meeting so many girls as well. I had some of the best nights out on my own. If your down in life and feel isolated and alone.. you don’t need to be. Just go out and have some fun on your own. Force yourself to build relationships with other people. Show everyone the real you and have the best fun. All the best bros and lasses. Now go have some fun!

Id love to do this but the anxiety of ending up just sad and alone is overwhelming, I've been to events on my own (not dance event) and it was abit.... awkward and lonely tbh maybe because it a drum and bass event, which i do love it might be easier to just jump in with other social groups.

You say you'll go to a German techno event alone but then try to arrange meeting someone beforehand, I don't think you know what going to an event alone means, but lots of people in Germany do go literally alone and it's still always fun
