My old course had a severely sloped par 3, and one summer I was paired with three assistant pros from other courses. One guy steps up, hits a beautiful iron that looks like an ace, but it stops a few inches below, backs up, and rolled 20 feet off the front. He comes up with his wedge, hits another beautiful shot that looks like it's going to stop inches from the hole, but it also backs up and comes right back to his feet! He said "Fizz this", takes out a putter and knocked it into the cup for a 3! But the greens were cut super short that day. I agree, pro conditions as far as speed of greens and collars is not something we're used to.
@@renata6146 I once made a two on a sloping par three at my home course, but I pulled the putt slightly and it missed on the left edge, but the slope and wind blew it in from half an inch. We laughed.
