Agree so much with the WT 70th. Totally surprised us, especially when sipped alongside WT 101. Totally different experience. The Smokeye Hill is probably the best poor that I had this year. I wish I could get a bottle, but I just got a sample and thoroughly enjoyed it. Cheers guys!!!
I agree, these are some really good bottles haven't been able to find the Makers yet but still on the hunt for it. I ordered another back up of the Smokeye Hill really like it! Try the KLUKE Haz mat really good.
OK so for me this year I was surprised by a few. The first being the "Chicken Cock small batch." for the price I thought it would be kind of a middle of the road whiskey, but I really enjoyed the flavor of this one at 100 proof. Next would be the Old Forester 1910, I have enjoyed the Old Forester 86 for some time and thought this was just an overpriced over hyped Whiskey, boy was I surprised, I really enjoy the sweetness and over all flavor of this one. My biggest surprise was by far the Jack Daniels Single barrel, barrel proof rye "Hero Edition" I got on base. I to that point had only tried Old No 7 Jack. After tasting that I have been a single barrel fan.
Interesting list, I was equally surprised with the WT 70th and the JEP barrel proof decanter. I requested the JEP at a local store. They'd done 2-3 previous orders for me. The buyer ordered 4 cases and sold out in 2 days. She asked about my source.."UA-cam"😂🥃
My surprise this year has been Texas Pot Still Bourbon from Balcones Distilling. The surprise is along the lines of what y'all experienced with the EC BP. This was once my favorite whisky, but about the time Diageo bought Balcones the quality went down - it was still good, but it was no longer magnificent. But my most recent bottle is right up at the old standard, and that surprised me since I had accepted the drop in quality.

I hope you find a bottle, ive seen them from time to time on Seelbach's, but the sell out quick! 😎🥃
Great list

We have liked everything K. Luke that we have tried... solid blenders! But was unaware they dropped a hazmat! 😎🥃
Nice list! I really enjoy the Smoke Eye Hill cask strength and their regular offering! Cheers
Havent had the regular offering, but the cask strength is phenominal! 😎🥃
@ The regular offering is very flavorful and just an easy drinker.
I was also surprised how good the Larceny BP C924 is this year. I have liked every batch (11) of them but the C924 is exceptional!
We have been liking the Larceny BP's more than tbe ECBP's lately... unfortunately, we were unable to find the Larceny C batch this year!
@ crazy how distribution is so varied. I’m in California and my local store has about three cases.
I missed a King of Kentucky this morning by three minutes:(
@@nickp5511 bummer! Ive heard great things about the KOK!
I've had most of these and have to agree. Mine would be Rebel Stave finished, and Penelope toasted Single barrels. Good video. Cheers
I was a huge fan of the rebel small batch reserve as well, but Laura wasnt as big of a fan, so it didnt make the list... 😎🥃

We have been big fans of ANYTHING Jack Daniels - that is not Old No. 7! And the hero rye is amazing! 😎🥃
Those are some great bottles and I need to make my own list soon 😆 Thanks for the video~
Cant wait to see what makes your list! 🥃
Great list 🥃
😎🥃

For every one of these, there was probably more than 10 that we never got to try! 😎🥃
There are some solid bottles on this list.
Definitely some banger! 😎🥃
