Dr. Izzeldin Abuelaish, a Palestinian-Canadian born and raised in the Gaza Strip’s Jabalia refugee camp, is a Harvard-trained fertility specialist and the first Palestinian doctor to work in an Israeli hospital.
He has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize five times.
“Before October 7th, the Palestinian issue had become somewhat trivialized in certain regions, but now people worldwide are awakening to the realities faced by Palestinians,” remarks Dr. Abuelaish. He believes that this momentum, fueled by public awareness, has the potential to influence political leaders positively.

I am so o deeply touched by Dr Izzeldin's optimism and his stoicism in the face of such colossal personal tragedy and huge loss. The so called UMMAH should heed his words when he says that those you are silent and complicit in this carnage and slaughter of Palestinian people should remember they are not immune from this catastrophe and the fire can just as easily reach you. Its not just the Arab countries, look at the response of Pakistan. All I will say is I feel so ashamed at our response.
