I was a little worried about its suitability for storms and came across your video shortly before my trip to Sarek. Now I can also assure you that the Bonfus still holds up at over 90 km/h but that it is anything but pleasant.
I was in some pretty gusty wind in my Durston X-mid this weekend just gone and i was impressed, it stood up to the wind really well. Trekking pole tents are mis underestimated when it comes to wind resistance.
I think as well - unreal conditions for my camping style. Before testing I would have thought nothing more than 30km/h (~20mph 😉😂😂) as I was only used to the Lanshan with a similar design. I mean not that I would do it but good to know that it could withstand it 👍
Greetings Stripey, I was walking up the hill as you were coming down but was too star-struck to say anything other than utter a "hi, there"! 🤩🤩🤩 Would be curious to see a side by side comparison with your own diy DCF shelter but perhaps in slightly less intense wind!
Hi 👋, Blue rain jacket (torrent shell?)? No my own shelter isn’t made for winds, I built it at the time for summer camps in the Alps above tree line - used it only a few times in Scotland and the built quality is just not on par with a bought one 😂 ATB Stripey
That was excellent mate..The tent did really well 😀👏🏻..I’am like you as well can’t be bothered with camping in high points..No fun in it..Yiu can’t beat good old Dumfoyne 😍🏕️ Cheers Robert
Hi! I had some issues at the beginning with condensation but after using it more/get used to it I had no more condensation issues at all. So no I don’t think that the lack of vents matter.
Nice update! Are you interested in reviewing our 6-in-1 drinking water tester? It can test bacteria, virus, microplastic, heavy metal, and weed kiiler., etc! We're sure that you'll love it.

Nice to see a tent ‘test/review’ on a hill and not in a garden. Thanks a lot for your effort Stripey 👏
Cheers mate!

Oh man that is absolutely crazy...I think I would be to much a chicken for that 😂. Anyways, good to know 👍

100% mate!!!
Done well in those winds mate, solid looking shelter for a backpacking tent.

Fair play, that’s strong winds, just to be standing shows the design is pretty damn good.
All the best Stripey.

Crazy but really cool test ❤
Thanks a lot mate 🙌
Hello, nice tent😊.
Do you think the lack of events is a problem to manage condensation ?
Hi! I had some issues at the beginning with condensation but after using it more/get used to it I had no more condensation issues at all. So no I don’t think that the lack of vents matter.
Hey! Great test video! I was wondering what you exeperience is with condensation since it doesn't have two top vents?
Thank you very much! Can’t comment on it yet, as I haven’t had enough nights in it.

Yes it was km/h. Cheers
@@StripeyHatGuy you're in Blighty now, we need old money.
@@WalkWithWallace hahaha you are asking for a lot mate 😂
@@StripeyHatGuy 😂😂
The tent is right on the ground, so I'm curious about how long the poles are to set it up.
Can’t really remember, but I do mention it in the video when memory serves right 👍
Any new adventures??
What were the units on your anemometer?
The units were km/h
ES ZIEHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;)
Aber sowas von 😂
