When my kids were small, I took them to circus soléis of Disney and Dreams was played on a horse show. Now every time that the song plays makes me cry. My kids are now grown and have distanced from me now but the song takes me back to their childhood and realize that they were dream to me and now how much life has changed. They are distant from me because they are now focusing on their lives and I’m left behind. It is part of life I just wish to have them small again when we were all for one and one for all! I have always loved this song and it was so good to see the real words its funny how you hear and love a some for many years but never notice that you are getting some of the words wrong not many in this song but sometimes it can change the whole meaning of the song.
This song never meant anything to me. It was just a song I recognized. Now, I have a daughter on the spectrum. My wife told me to read the lyrics of the song and now it means so much to me. It makes me see from her perspective and her daily struggles. Never had a song make such an emotional impact on me.
It makes you wonder what happened to popular music. Where has the artistry gone. I have always been a punk fan (still am because it’s the only good music now) but at least in the 90’s bands had some integrity and vision.
Dolores was a rare artist to say the very least. She was and still is to this very day, the only celebrity crush I've ever had. The news of her passing was hard to accept. I've never felt anything at all about the death of a celebrity until Dolores. She was the shining example of the underdog that shined so bright... She made it all look and feel so easy. That's the true mark of greatness... Not just being great, but making it look easy.
My only fabulous beautiful daughter passed away in the last few months, I struggle terribly with her loss I accidentally came upon this song on you tube & had not heard it for oh I don’t know 30 or 40 years maybe even many more but I recognized it as one of my all time favorites from the moment she sang the first note I didn’t know about her sad ending until I looked it up just recently,so sad! So because of my amazing daughter’s loss I couldn’t really listen to it for a few weeks but in my enormous emotional pain of my grief at her loss, but felt myself wanting to hear it again ?
2023 I’m still listening with an open heart to our angel singing her soul up to heaven for us all to see & feel…I’m 62 now..and still miss our lovely lass
When I was little my parents would take me and my brother to Woodlands (our local theme/ Adventure Park type thing) and dad would always have the cd with this song playing on the way home. Every single Sunday without fail. And obviously it doesn’t mean much as a kid. I thought this song was just part of a lost memory until Derry girls came out, I heard it and that was the first memory it brought back. I wasn’t sure it was the same song in my mind but knew in my heart. So now i’m older and listening to it again, it makes sense and I can hear the absolute beauty in it. And it makes me cry every time. For those memories of each Sunday, for poor Delores, and I’ve only in 2019 found out what happened to her, and it’s an absolute shame. I hope everybody listening to this still finds peace in their lives, and I hope that Delores found hers up above where she will never be forgotten.
I always think of my uncle David when I listen to the cranberries. David was always so loving towards me. I feel his love always. Alcoholism and a mental health contributed to his short life of 45 years. Father of a beautiful girl and father figure to me. I'm ready to see you again tio.

I have always loved this song and it was so good to see the real words its funny how you hear and love a some for many years but never notice that you are getting some of the words wrong not many in this song but sometimes it can change the whole meaning of the song.

This song never meant anything to me. It was just a song I recognized. Now, I have a daughter on the spectrum. My wife told me to read the lyrics of the song and now it means so much to me. It makes me see from her perspective and her daily struggles. Never had a song make such an emotional impact on me.

It makes you wonder what happened to popular music. Where has the artistry gone. I have always been a punk fan (still am because it’s the only good music now) but at least in the 90’s bands had some integrity and vision.

Dolores was a rare artist to say the very least. She was and still is to this very day, the only celebrity crush I've ever had. The news of her passing was hard to accept. I've never felt anything at all about the death of a celebrity until Dolores. She was the shining example of the underdog that shined so bright... She made it all look and feel so easy. That's the true mark of greatness... Not just being great, but making it look easy.
My only fabulous beautiful daughter passed away in the last few months, I struggle terribly with her loss I accidentally came upon this song on you tube & had not heard it for oh I don’t know 30 or 40 years maybe even many more but I recognized it as one of my all time favorites from the moment she sang the first note I didn’t know about her sad ending until I looked it up just recently,so sad! So because of my amazing daughter’s loss I couldn’t really listen to it for a few weeks but in my enormous emotional pain of my grief at her loss, but felt myself wanting to hear it again ?

When I was little my parents would take me and my brother to Woodlands (our local theme/ Adventure Park type thing) and dad would always have the cd with this song playing on the way home. Every single Sunday without fail. And obviously it doesn’t mean much as a kid. I thought this song was just part of a lost memory until Derry girls came out, I heard it and that was the first memory it brought back. I wasn’t sure it was the same song in my mind but knew in my heart. So now i’m older and listening to it again, it makes sense and I can hear the absolute beauty in it. And it makes me cry every time. For those memories of each Sunday, for poor Delores, and I’ve only in 2019 found out what happened to her, and it’s an absolute shame. I hope everybody listening to this still finds peace in their lives, and I hope that Delores found hers up above where she will never be forgotten.

I always think of my uncle David when I listen to the cranberries. David was always so loving towards me. I feel his love always. Alcoholism and a mental health contributed to his short life of 45 years. Father of a beautiful girl and father figure to me. I'm ready to see you again tio.
