Kalia and Makani were hit especially hard by Amaya's death. Kalia isolated herself and would only let Makani approach her. According to a staff member, Kalia was vocalizing "mournfully" following her daughter's death. Eventually, Kalia let Shouka be with her. The day after that Ulises, Nakai, and Orkid joined her as well. SeaWorld officially reported Amaya's death to NOAA, and said that Amaya died from a gastro-intestinal disease. At least that's what I read on forums.
Amaya is cute and smart but it's clear that as an Orca that has been bred solely from captive Orca's that she recognizes that the humans are a part of her pod much more so than the other Orca's like Malia.
it is, you just have to be there at the right time, its nice when they interact on their own, sometimes the trainers are down there to lure them and have them interact with the public, so cute.
How much you want to bet that these kids will want to work with orcas one day? That's what's so great about SW, they inspire kids to want to help an conserve a beautiful species.
Some belugas do this, too, when they see a kid or an object that catches their attention among a crowd of people, and no one else can get their attention. There’s a video from the Georgia Aquarium, I believe, where a dozen kids and parents are watching a beluga, but the beluga is only watching a kid with red, curly hair. Whether it was the hair or what, but it followed that kid through the crowd.
amazing creatures we got in this world. ❤🌍. they are dangerous animals don't forget but cool to watch. great video nice how they interact and play with the kids. still don't like that they are stuck in a tank but we wouldn't seen this and be able to learn and teach.
Amaya was born in Captivity. and Amaya's mother, Kalia - the other orca you see in this video - was ALSO born in captivity. putting them in the wild would make as much sense a putting someone from New York into the Amazon Rain forest .

So cute. The interaction between the children and that whale is precious
Rest in peace to Amaya! 😢
She will definitely be part of our hearts forever.... even though she only lived 6 years and a few months.... she will be missed.
@@Tilikum16 Yep. I hope she's doing alright with her Grandma Kasatka in heaven. 😔
Amaya was sooo smart she learnt quickly the head bobbing makes the kids scream 😹😹.
We lost her too soon 💔💔
Amaya bobbing her head is just the cutest thing I have ever seen!!!!♥️😭😍
Experiences like this make everything so worth it. Fantastic. I love how interactive Amaya is!
Why do they have to scream! Whales can hear that!
I miss Amaya :(

So basically a baby whale and baby humans invented their own little game? xD Amaya is so cute and smart
Kalia: EXCUSE ME YOUNG LADY I WANT ATTENTION TOO!
Amaya: Nope 😙
That’s so cute! The way Amaya interacts and plays with the kids

One reason I don’t like Amaya
She kills me with cuteness
"You kids like seafood?...here...see food"
She got more reaction with head bobbing than playing count the colors. So cute!
lol
AWWWWWWW the cutest interactions i have ever seen.

Amaya loves to interact even when I went in November and she swam with me as I am known to seaworld
I'm going to miss you so much little girl
She is pretty funny lol
Adorable.
That whale would never make it in the wild

I wonder why Orcas love kids? Keiko was the same way.
Right, I remember right before he died he was giving piggy back rides to kids
Cetaceans do not belong in captivity

Amaya is amayzing.
Yes she is !
Aw she look like her mother 2:18 Kalia
Next time I see Amaya or Kalia I’m gonna play with them. Hopefully their not gonna be dead because it’s gonna be a few years until I go back :P
These animals do not belong in captivity. ANIMAL ABUSE
Soy Milk yes they do as they were born into the care of humans which is safer than the wild.
Soy Milk SJWs strike back.
It's not abuse. They're well cared for.
If blue world was made my opinion on the whole situation and controversy would change...
None of the orcas have killed each other in captivity, where did you hear that from?
Kids don`t want Kalia they want Amaya XD
Uh.........my name is Amaya?...... lol XD
🥰🥰🥰🥰
